I bought this tea because Men's Health published its high levels of antioxidants compared to other teas. The Stash tea is also very pleasant, not expensive, and does not leave my throat dry.

The taste is fine as along as you use two tea bags, otherwise it is weak in flavor. However, I bought this product on a recommendation from 'first' magazine. I am always looking for the most healthy products.

I bought this tea because Men's Health published its high levels of antioxidants compared to other teas. The Stash tea is also very pleasant, not expensive, and does not leave my throat dry.

The article is as follows:

Green tea is widely known for its health benefits. You can thank its high content of catechins, antioxidants that help fight both cancer and heart disease. But a recent USDA study found that the amount of these healthy compounds -- as well as the amount of caffeine -- varies widely among commercially available teas. See how several of the top brands compare per 8-ounce cup, then choose wisely: Stash Darjeeling Organic Green Tea has the most catechins -- measured in milligrams per gram -- of any green tea tested.

Stash Darjeeling Organic Green Tea

TOTAL CATECHINS: 100

CAFFEINE: 22 milligrams (mg)

Peet's Sencha Japanese Green Tea

TOTAL CATECHINS: 76

CAFFEINE: 17 mg

Lipton 100% Natural Green Tea

TOTAL CATECHINS: 29

CAFFEINE: 8 mg

Celestial Seasonings Green Tea

TOTAL CATECHINS: 19

CAFFEINE: 6 mg

This is an amazing green tea. Its crisp and potent, just the way a tea should be. I've tried many different brands of green teas, but stash's Darjeeling Green Tea is all that I will purchase from now on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hearty Green Tea, October 7, 2007

*****
Stash's new "Stash Teas of India" are refreshing and different for Stash---each one is unique, and Darjeeling Green Tea is no exception. The only ingredient is Darjeeling green tea leaves, and it is a fine, hearty green tea.

I have found that "Stash Teas of India" is one of Stash's better collections. This tea contains some caffeine: it tastes fairly strong, very pure, and high-quality.

Recommended...a true step up for Stash!

Stash Tea is one of the best around. They have a huge variety of both loose teas, teas in bags and accessories. My favorite, Darjeeling Green is almost impossible to find, but Stash has it! The tea is delicious and flavorful without being too strong. The tea is fantastic and the price is great too.

I bought this Tea because it was recommended by Men's Health Magazine for having the highest number of Catechins per cup (the antioxidants that help fight both cancer and heart disease).

[...]

But aside from that I have also grown very fond of its flavor. Most green teas have a very "earthy" flavor, which is not a bad thing, I love green tea's flavor. But the Darjeeling Green Tea has a very crisp, clean flavor that really stands out (it can be a little bitter if it steeps too long). However, I actually drink it at work by steeping 2 bags in 10 ounces of water for about 10 to 15 minutes, then adding cold water and ice into a 24 ounce bottle and drink it the rest of the day. It's very refreshing.

I've been a fan of Stash's Fusion Green & White tea for a long time and decided to try the Darjeeling Green. Very disappointing - I'm giving the stuff to a food drive.
