Product Description

Product Description

Stash Green Tea and Ginseng combines ginseng with Japanese green tea to produce a bracing, slightly astringent drink. Ginseng is famous as a medicinal herb, reputed to both enhance performance under stress and boost immune response. This tea is also rich in antioxidants.

True teas are made from the dried leaves of the Camellia Sinensis, the tea plant, which was first cultivated in China and found growing wild in India. Chinese monks and European traders introduced it to Japan, Sri Lanka and other countries. Today, there are more than 3,000 varieties of tea, each having its own distinct character and named for the district where it is grown. Since 1972, Stash has been committed to providing premium quality teas and an unsurpassed tea drinking experience. Stash begins with simply excellent tea leaves from the world's premier tea gardens and all natural botanical ingredients gathered from around the world. Meticulous blending and tasting of every tea ensures you will enjoy full flavor in every cup.

The story behind Yamamoto teas: In 1690, Japan was ruled by the Tokugawa Shogunate, the Manchus had repelled the Mongols, Louis XIV ruled in Splendor from his new palace in Versailles, Czar Peter had just attained the throne and Johann Sebastian Bach was five years old. And that same year in Japan, the Yamamoto family began producing premium teas, a tradition that continues to this day. More than three centuries of experience go into the selection and processing of Yamamotoyama Teas, among the finest in the world.

Product Description

The Stash Tea Company is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1972, the company derives its name from an entertaining aspect of tea folklore. In earlier centuries, tea was a valuable commodity traditionally transported by clipper ship. The ship's captain often was presented with some of the finest teas for his personal use. This supply was his "stash," stowed carefully as his "private reserve." Today, the term still is used to denote anything put away carefully because of its preciousness. Stash Premium YMY 1690 Green Tea and Ginseng combines ginseng with Japanese green tea to produce a bracing, slightly astringent drink. 5.0 out of 5 stars Great tea, I like., September 29, 2006

I've always been a regular drinker of green tea and ginseng tea for years, but I would only drink one or the other every morning.

This tea's taste wasn't acrid in the least as expected of some Indian green teas I've tried in the past. As a blend of two types of teas, I get the health benefits of both, plus a convenient yet not too large. caffein boost every morning For the price, you get 120 packages.

I bought this tea for the health benefits of both green tea and ginseng, as I'm a Diabetic. I'm sure it's helpful, but there's one problem: This tea tastes like dirt. I'm serious. Absolute dirt. There's no green tea flavor, and no tang of ginseng. Just dirt. I don't know what the other reviewers have been drinking, but I've been drinking dirt. And now I'm stuck with 6 boxes of this crap.

I made my decision to buy Stash Green Tea & Ginseng pretty much based on the fact that it contained ginseng and all of the excellent health reviews related to green tea. Now that I drink this tea I can say that I particularly like its taste, and the smell of the cup even after the tea is gone is really pleasant. Whether the effects of the tea are real or imagined, I am very, very pleased. I like this tea, and I plan to buy more when it is gone from my cabinet.
