5.0 out of 5 stars good tea, good bargain
very good tea at a good bargain, you get three bags of tea that can each make about 45-50 cups of tea, so thats anywhere between 135-150 cups of tea.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bland
Expected good, full flavor from this tea, recently having finished 2 packets of Japanese Gyokuro. It is bland, and the color of the steeped tea, an unattractive dark brown - with no hint of green.

5.0 out of 5 stars outstanding quality, great price, March 24, 2007
Stash's Organic Pinhead Gunpowder Green Tea, Loose Leaf, is the best of the best of green tea's. It is rich, smooth, and looks like liquid gold in the cup. The tea leaves can be used 2 or 3 times, depending on how strong you like your tea, with good results and good flavor.

4.0 out of 5 stars $13.60 for organic and pinhead, May 6, 2007
From reading reviews of all the stash green teas, I decided to get the organic pinhead version for better quality. I think it is excellent though it is not cheap. The leaves look in excellent shape and only a spoonful is needed in a teapot. I made the mistake of using too much tea for my first pot but this is a tasty tea.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great green tea for not too much., October 11, 2009

Stash's gunpowder green has been a staple tea in our house for almost a year now. We prefer it iced, but it is decent hot. It is much more affordable than most other green teas and the quality is right up there with other good gunpwder greens we have had. Like most green teas, steep at 180 degrees for 3 minutes to get the best results. We go through a 3 pack of this stuff every single month.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff!!, July 23, 2008

Two level measuring teaspoons makes at least 30 ounces of tea, good strong tea that is highly stimulating. I don't even miss coffee now! Using distilled water makes the best tea in my opinion. I drink the first mug straight and the rest I put soy milk powder in. GOOD STUFF. Will continue to buy this tea.

Stash Premium Gunpowder Green Tea, Loose Leaf, 3.5-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 3) Its a great gunpowder tea, typical taste and texture but a much tighter pearl than most. It can be left standing in its leaves longer without going bitter, I think its worth a try. I know I drink it all the time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Second batch inferior to first, April 30, 2010

My son drinks gallons of green tea. We ordered one of the three-packs in the fall, and it was really good. He was so impressed, we ordered it again. That (second) batch was disappointing - not nearly as full-flavored as the first. I'm ordering it just one more time, hoping that the poorer quality was a fluke.

I haven't had any problems with this tea so I am a notch above indifferent. I don't regret buying it.

It's okay, but I wouldn't buy it again. My absolute favorite green tea is made by specialteas.com. It's a decaf apricot green tea. I always end up going back to that after trying other teas. I've even gotten used to drinking it plain without any sweeteners. A cup sounds pretty good right now!
