Product Description

Flavor: Lemon Blossom

Founded in 1972, Stash Tea Company originally operated out of an old Portland Victorian style house, supplying loose herbal teas and bulk herbs to natural food stores. Starting in 1975, the company broadened its focus to include bagged teas and then began to sell a full line of traditional, specialty blend and herbal teas directly to fine restaurants and through a mail order catalog to consumers. Today, Stash Tea Company is one of the largest specialty tea companies in the United States. The company derives its name from an entertaining aspect of tea folklore. In earlier centuries, tea was a valuable commodity traditionally transported by clipper ship. The ship’s captain often was presented with some of the finest teas for his personal use. This supply was his “stash,” stowed carefully as his “private reserve.” Today, the term is still used to denote anything put away carefully because of its preciousness.

Love most of the Stash ice tea combinations, but the mint and green tea combination is one of the best.

Bags are right size for a gallon mix.

Flavor Name: Blueberry Verified Purchase
I brewed this tea as directed. It has no blueberry flavor at all. Though the flavor is nice, it is not appealing to me. Guess I was expecting to have a blueberry taste...I wonder why! Oh, yes, it is a blueberry flavored tea! If you are looking for blueberry, pass by this product and try another brand. Though I love Stash teas, especially the mint ones, this one is disappointing.

Flavor Name: Blackcurrant Verified Purchase
I was looking for a tea with a hint of black currant flavor complementing a black iced tea blend. This tea brews up looking like red fruit punch. The black currant flavor is tangy bordering on bitter. I didn't see that there was any black tea contribution to the final brew. I didn't care for it at all.

Flavor Name: Traditional Iced Tea
I brewed this tea as hot tea, letting it steep for 5 -7 minutes. I did it two 1/2 gallons - one at a time with the same tea bag. Then I refrigerated it overnight. There was no cloudiness and the tea is nice and strong with no bitter after taste. Everyone who tries it, loves it.

This tea is full of flavor! We make it without so much sugar and the blackcurrant flavor is great. A favorite restaurant serves this and we have been hooked on it for years. Try Try!

If it were for the flavor, I would give it five. For consistency I would give it a great big goose egg (that would be zero).

I had been buying one quart bags at the supermarket and was over the moon when I came across these on Subscribe and Save. I also get Billington's Natural Demerara Sugar from S & S and use 2/3 cup to make a gallon of lightly sweetened tea. It was delicious!

As I worked through the box, I began to notice something strange. Sometimes my tea tasted watery. I wasn't doing anything differently when I brewed it and I consistently put the same amount of ice into the large tumbler that goes everywhere with me. I was baffled.

I make and drink a few gallons of this a week. Staying well hydrated is a must when it comes to getting through Florida's blazing hot summers. I've cut out soft drinks completely and as a cancer survivor, I prefer not to use any artificial sweeteners. Last week the answer became crystal. I was making tea in my usual manner and was suddenly struck by something odd. The bag felt funny in my hand when I took it out of the box. I held it up to the light. It didn't look right either. I broke out the digital scale that I use for weighing ingredients when I make dough. The bag weighed .5 ounce. I looked at the box. It is supposed to contain 24/1 ounces bags. Mystery solved!

So I am going to go ahead and assume that these are either seconds, or that the quality control staff has been sleeping on the job. I hand over my money in good faith that I am going to get what I paid for, and not get shorted. I'm very disappointed. I purchase four other Stash products on Amazon's S & S and now I'm tempted to count the contents to ensure they contain 100 bags.

Weighing the bags when I make iced tea adds another step, but it's better than drinking brown colored sweetened water.

and glad I discovered the large iced tea bags. I drink my tea over ice and use a Breville tea maker to steep the basket that I fill with individual bags. With this tea, all I have to do is throw the tea bag in my lucite pitcher. boil water in the Breville, pour it over and eventually remove the bag. Fruity, sweet, summery flavor although I'm thinking it is a new favorite for year-round.

This tea is hard to find in the stores so glad to find it here. The bigger size is so much more convenient since I make a lot of tea and opening the individually wrapped bags is a pain but each of these is like 12 bags.

I took a gamble on this large package of big tea bags because I am a fan of Stash teas, but I was disappointed with this tea--based on the description, I had high hopes for a more balanced blend of black tea and black currant, but it's basically red zinger in huge bags.
