This review is from: The State of Church Giving Through 2004 (Will We Will?) (Paperback)
Any study like this will have limitations set by the data available. The authors do a good job with what is available to present objective, quantitative analysis first and then view that through a subjective filter of christian generosity and ministry. It's very eye-opening and very useful if you are doing reports or having conversations and need statistics to support a point you're making, influence people. Also, will challenge you to examine your own heart and giving.
Furthermore, I live in the same town in which this couple's ministry exists and it provides a good service giving out food and clothing at its store "Free in Jesus' name" as well as sending out teams each weekend to fix homes and stuff like that free as well. So they are walking the walk as well. |
