Short but Sweet, September 9, 2005

The golden voice of Jon Anderson never seems to get old. For anyone who was lucky to see his Works in Progress Tour in early 2004, this is a nice keepsake. The sound quality is fine. "State of Independence" was one of the highlights of the show and his career as well and it sounds great here. "You Lift Me Up" is a very positive and fun new piece. The real surprise is "Ying Tong Song" which is silly but enjoyable. For those of us not lucky enough to grow up with "The Goon Show", it is a little glimpse into that crazy world. This EP definitely gives one a taste for the rest of the show which is now available on DVD as Tour Of The Universe. Jon fans get them both while you can.
