This cd combines vocal/progessive trance with deep melodies in a phenomenal 2 disc mix. Literally very easy to listen to from start to finish, and almost every other track makes you look at the title to download the full song. Very solid mix overall, a few sample tracks for you to look up on youtube before purchasing would be Let It All Out Ronski Speed remix, Kidsos remix, Symfo Sunrise festival mix, there are a few ATB sirens of the sea remixes, Home, on a good day, its all great look into it. If you're an avid trance fan I would say this is a key purchase, even if just for the genuine track listing on the back of the dual cd cover.

This yearmix is incredible! Although i had already heard most of the songs throughout the year, this is an excellent recap. The songs blend perfectly together and the mixing is flawless and addictive. Best of the best, Very highly recommend it! Armin never disappoints!

I'm absolutely hooked to the radio show, and frankly this mix doesn't do justice to it. The mixing part is so amateurish, I couldn't believe it's AvB. It was so smooth and energized in the previous ones, it was a pleasure for about 2hrs. But the 2009 edition is just a vague mix.

The CD1 is a little on the mellow side, which I normally do not expect from AvB; especially when you run through 40+ tracks. Also, the gradual feeling of sinking into the music is totally missing. Try giving it a listen before spending [...] bucks on it, samples should be out soon on amazon.

This is, without a doubt, the best ASOT Year Mix Armin has ever created! I look forward to its release every year. Thanks to all of the artists who produced such beautiful, uplifting, melodic Trance for us this year. I only hope they keep it up for 2010! BUY THIS NOW!

I thought the 2007 & 2008 Yearmixes were good, but this 2009 Yearmix is just as good or better. Lots of variation, great beats/rhythms/vocals. Great Job Overall

The 2009 Year Mix is not easy to get used to because one has the tendency to compare it to 2008 Year Mix. That was the wrong approach. The second time I heard 2009 Year Mix, I noticed that I begun enjoying it more and I naturally just smile as I hear #17. It just gets better everytime I hear it as it brings unique experiences. I can't explain it. I'm taken into trance and dancing to Venice Beach! I have heard 2009 Year Mix many times that I lost count!

This cd is so good- only downfall is each song is sooo short that you will want more.

This CD Armin Van Buuren, A State Of Trance Year Mix 2009 is nothing more then the State Of Trance Year Mix 2006 CD 1 and the 2nd Disc is A State Of Trance Year Mix 2007 i was totally disapointed when i got the CD in the mail
