Alright theres a lot to skip on this CD so I'll do you a favor.
Great songs: Lemonade Wasted [feat. Plies] - avoid the remix of this one Pretty good songs: Sex in Crazy places Bad Bad Bad Classical (Into) - started off humorous but I actually like it. Spotlight - I'm tired of it but at a time I liked it Volume Sorta ok: Bingo Track 11 interlude is pretty hilarious Enoughs good on there you won't feel bad if you buy it but you'll be doing some song skipping - and each track Gucci man says his name a couple times on the intro which is funny and annoying at the same time.

"Wasted" my time,

Wasted was the only great track, in my opinion. However, if you love southern rap, you may enjoy half of the cd.

Production is off the charts. This is one of Gucci's best albums out and I usually don't like an album the first time I hear it. I wish Gucci wasn't locked up so this album could get the proper promotion, same problem he's always had. Album cover is ironic and fitting. Free GUCCI!

DecemBURR 8th is a day in hip hop history that I won't soon forget. On this day major releases from several known hitmakers landed in stores. With Gucci Mane heading the charge followed by Snoop Dogg, Timbaland, BG, Clipse and Chris Brown it's needless to say some may feel overwhelmed. While being great for hip hop this leaves the (buying) fan with quite a dilemma. Are you going to shell out nearly $60 for everyone's albums? While I took the chance on 2/3 of those albums (sorry Chris and Timbo...maybe next time) the others will take a swift download. It sounds bad but that's how it is.
Gucci Mane is quite the polarizing figure in the rap game. Having worked his way into the mainstream the old fashioned way (good ol mixtapes and word of mouth) it seems that this is the type of story to be celebrated as it's the definition of rags to riches. Despite having legions of die hard fans throughout every inch of the country, hip hop purists are quick to dismiss Gucci Mane as something of a novelty act. Quick to call him a non-rapping no talent guy that only gets by on beats and hooks. Despite his wild underground following and widespread mainstream acceptance as of late (making appearances on songs by the likes of Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, USHER and 50 Cent amongst countless other respected hip hop & R&B names), people will still choose to talk down on this man. However Gucci Mane is here to prove those people wrong on his 6th(?) studio album. The State vs. Radric Davis is an ironic name for this album. It is so because Mr. Radric Davis will soon be incarcerated for a year on a violation of probation charge and testing positive for many different drugs. This news coming literally days after releasing the 18th song on this album "WORST ENEMY" in video form in which he confesses that he is his own worst enemy. So the cover is fitting as well, a facepalm in an orange suit. All you can do is shake your head because he just got out of jail earlier this year. Gucci Mane is still making headlines though, this time positively, by publically ending a 5 year feud with megastar rival Young Jeezy (a real feud that ended in Gucci Mane killing a man in self defense). So despite his recent trials and tribulations maybe Gucci has learned, changed, and grown as a person (as well as a rapper). Gucci Mane is undoubtedly a star in hip hop. This album validates his status. Right from the intro CLASSICAL, Gucci Mane displays that he indeed has talent and talent galore. His flow, content, lyrics, cleverness and technique are all displayed on that one song and lets listeners know that Gucci Mane is here to stay and the sky is the limit. Gucci, while expanding his subject matter and technique, has not forgotten about what made him successful in the first place. Songs such as Heavy, Stupid Wild, All About The Money, Lemonade, and Bingo are the type of anthems everyone has come to love about Gucci. Production is truly not a problem here receiving beats from the best producers of today; that is Drummer Boy, Bangladesh, Zaytoven, JUSTICE League, Polow Da Don, Zaytoven, Jazze Pha, Scott Storch, Shawty Redd, and Fatboi. WOW that's quite an impressive list of producers by any standards. Also coming to the defense of Gucci Mane are Lil Wayne, CamRon, Rick Ross, Soulja Boy, Keyshia Cole, Nicki Minaj, Trina, Bobby Valentino, Plies, Usher, Bun B, Devin The Dude, E-40, OJ Da Juiceman and Waka Flocka Flame. Well Damn! Gucci Mane's The State Vs. Radric Davis is one of the best albums of the year. Beats, lyrics, anthems and is more like a coming out party rather than a going in party. He has not disappointed one bit. 5 stars.

Not feelin' it,
This review is from: The State vs. Radric Davis (Audio CD)
Ok so first off, yea I know he's one of the big up and comers of rap this year..but I'm wondering how the hell did he get there?
Lyrically not bad, but definitely not great. The biggest problem I have with this guy is his delivery. He certainly doesn't have the swag of Jay-Z nor the lyrical spitting prowess of Eminem. So what does he exactly offer? Not much. The CD itself had pretty good production, but man did they waste it on this guy. Don't get me wrong, I like Southern rap, but if this guy is the future of Southern rap, the future looks pretty bleak. Gucci Mane and OJ Da Juiceman are wack and I can't see them lasting in the game...I give them 2-3 years tops before they completely disappear.

December 8th marks a day in history for Gucci Mane fans as the well-anticipated album, The State Vs. Radric Davis is released. Although Gucci is not out to see what his album can do or give it proper promotion, he doesn't have to be. It almost seems as if his recent incarceration has only increased his buzz. Where his previous release, "Back to the Traphouse," seemed like a mixtape release of random songs, TSVRD is the most well-put together album of Gucci's career. It is truly an album that you can play from start to finish. The single "Spotlight," while not being a usual Gucci song, is actually a decent mainstream song and not as terrible as originally received. One of the main highlights is "Lemonade." Gucci almost seems as if he is at his best when he boasts of his many diamonds and his loads of money. The song is a celebration of the color yellow and is sure to increase the sales of yellow sweaters, polos & jackets at least across the south. If I had to find a flaw in the album, it may be the interludes or tracks such as "I think I'm in love" or "The Movie." While not saying the tracks are horrible, I just feel as if he could have replaced them with one of the mixtape bangers he already has.
Highlights: Lemonade Stupid Wild Bingo Bad Bad Bad Volume Worst Enemy Ask any Gucci Mane fan, finally having Radric Davis find success in the mainstream is like being a proud father watching his son make it.

Gucci Mane is both praised and hated, but the ones who hate just haven't given him a good enough chance yet. Maybe at first listen you will shun him off as mindless gangsta rap. That's where you are wrong. Gucci is a lyrical mastermind, with one of the sickest flows the rap game has ever seen. His new album The State Vs Radric Davis, which dropped today, is set to go down in history. Gucci is always evolving, and at 29 years old, he is in his prime. Every song on this album goes off, and this is easily the album of the year. This album rides so smooth. I encourage all of you to order this and support the man. It's time for the world to know just who Radric Davis is. And he means business. He will have you nodding your head and moving your feet to the classical sounds of this album. Get it, and then go and get his hundreds of awesome mixtapes. There's plenty of Gucci to go around. BURR!

The cd I received was scratched up, and also I was not the uncut version. I would have preferred to know if it was uncut or edited.
