This book is a must have for any stationary/operating engineer. Anything you need/want to know about boilers is in this book. It's also very helpful in preparing for the NJ boiler/engineer license tests. I can't say enough about this book. It is a little hard reading in some spots, mainly because of all the formulas and equations, but overall is probably the best resource for a boiler operator.

This book and other books by the same author are the standards of the Boiler industry. They have been around for ages but their content is still up to date and appropriate.

Stationary Engineering, is a very technical publication not for the faint at heart. Since it is written at the Engineering level, at first you may find it a bit intimidating. You will soon realize the value and importance of its contents.

Relative to the State of New Jersey Boiler License Examinations, Black High Pressure, Blue Seal, Red or Gold Seal, you will find this an excellent resource investment for your career path.

Remember, no one ever said that obtaining your Stationary Engineers License was going to be easy, just fun.

I just started reading the book & I have to say it gets down to the necessary material needed to excel in the Stationary Engineer field.Great Book!!!

Has everything I have been looking for. Highly suggest this purchase if your going for the license. I especially like the CD-Rom and testing material.
