helpful!
Highly recommended to any graduate student who wants to handle with discrete dependent variable in his statistical analysis. Authors explain probit, logit, log-linear model... very clearly with many examples supported by their web-site.

Not recommended at all...
If you are looking a book for categorical variables this one is definitely not your first choice. There are others excellent books on the topic such as Agresti's first book (easier to read) or Simonoff's, which will guide you and give you a clear picture of categorical data analysis. Otherwise try Jobson's :Applied Multivariate Data Analysis, which is a top book. Daniel...

If you are looking a book for categorical variables this one is definitely not your first choice. There are others excellent books on the topic such as Agresti's first book (easier to read) or Simonoff's, which will guide you and give you a clear picture of categorical data analysis. Otherwise try Jobson's :Applied Multivariate Data Analysis, which is a top book. Daniel Powers book will not teach you the subject so you better avoid it!
