I am not qualified to evaluate statistical books on their merits; however once upon a time, I did own several books on statistics, as I was a self-taught programmer of statistical methods. This book, kind people is to statistics what Feynman's lectures on physics are to that subject. Snedecor was the originator of several methods in this book, most famously the F test for comparing three or more results.

I owned a copy of this book once, and gave it up. Now, on those rare occasions when I need to know something about statistics, I found myself lost. So, I bought a used copy. If you are working in a field which uses statistics, but you are not a statistician yourself, this may be one of the best books you can get.
