Great reference for practicing statisticians
I used this textbook for my introduction to statistic course in second year university, and I have since gone back to it numerous times. Its examples are well chosen and well written, and the mix of theory and application make it a great reference for teaching. Statistical Methods
As a beginner statistician, the layout of this book is very difficult to follow. It did not explain well the procedures or examples in the text. I do not recommend this book to a beginner, or to anyone not already experienced in statistics.

I used this textbook for my introduction to statistic course in second year university, and I have since gone back to it numerous times. Its examples are well chosen and well written, and the mix of theory and application make it a great reference for teaching. My only problem with it is that it did not associate itself with a software package, which hurts its use in applied courses. I am forced to use a different Biostatistics textbook for my course (which includes SAS), but I develop my lecture material largely from this book.
