Great Book for understanding the concepts of DOE Analysis,
By A Customer
This review is from: Statistical Quality Design and Control: Contemporary Concepts and Methods (Hardcover)
This book deals with the concepts behind quality engineering from Deming to Taguchi. The meat of the book resides in demonstrating the power of orthogonal and sequential experimentation in understanding and modeling processes. Good case studies are provided to demonstrate real world application of this powerful analysis tool.

This review is from: Statistical Quality Design and Control: Contemporary Concepts and Methods (Hardcover)
This quality book consists of statistical quality analysis for the students who know probability and statistics well. The subjects are well organized and this gives a good oppotunity to begin the quality analysis. Beside these, the book is not efficent in terms of reading. The sentences and words chosen sometimes become boring. So try to look up the inside of the book before buying and then decide if possible.

This review is from: Statistical Quality Design and Control: Contemporary Concepts and Methods (Hardcover)
This text provides a modern point of view on quality. It incorporates the quality philosophy of Taguchi and the most basic of Taguchi methods. Accordingly it has a great deal to contribute to design and operations professionals.
Unfortunately a boring writing style and editing errors seriously detract from the value of the text. I may be charitable in calling some of the errors editing errors because they really are beyond what a proof-reader could be expected to catch: they are in the conceptual realm. I have not given the entire text a careful read, in part because the errors I discovered at the beginning of the text undermined my confidence in the text's presentation of subjects I knew less about. |
