4.0 out of 5 stars Very good book, October 11, 2003

This review is from: Statistical Thermodynamics and Properties of Matter (Hardcover)
This is a great book for anyone that is taking a materials statistical thermo class or just a thermo class with an emphasis on materials. There's a good section devoted to crystal thermodynamics, that's quite useful. It also covers magnetic materials, superconductivity, and real gases and liquids. Overall, it's a very well written book that takes you from basic concepts to very advanced ones, without loosing one in the process.
