About the Author

Dr. Gerald Keller is Professor of Business at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he has taught statistics, management science, and operations management since 1974. He also has taught at the University of Toronto, the University of Miami, McMaster University, the University of Windsor, and the Beijing Institute of Science and Technology. Dr. Keller has consulted with banks on credit scoring and credit card fraud and has conducted market surveys for the Canadian government on energy conservation. The author of APPLIED STATISTICS WITH MICROSOFT EXCEL, Dr. Keller has also been published in OMEGA, IIE TRANSACTIONS, DECISION SCIENCES, INFOR, ECONOMICS LETTERS, and ARCHIVES OF SURGERY.

Dr. Brian Warrack: After teaching in the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at the University of Alberta, Dr. Warrack joined Wilfrid Laurier University, where he has taught courses in corporate finance, investment management, statistics, and decision analysis. He also has published several articles and cases in these areas. His current research interest lies in financial markets. I used this book a semester ago in my probability class and I must say this is one of the worst textbooks I've come across with. There are plenty of exercises in the book and like the reviewer above said, it covers a lot. However, my friends and I all find the explanations are unclear and unhelpful.

This was a great deal. The book was in excellent condition, arrived promptly, and the price was about $70 less than I would have paid buying from the college. I'm in the first year of my masters and I plan to use Amazon for all my texts.
