Gorgeous hand carved, sturdy chess pieces. Heirloom quality. Box could be better if lined w/ felt and better latch.

It is difficult to find pieces as well -made and as large as these chess pieces. The color is excellent. The box is fine but I intend to line it in the future.

I just got this set last week and I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed. Overall, the set seems good, but the pieces are just too small when using a regular tournament board with 2.25 inch squares.

The product is even better than I had expected. The pieces are nicely weighted and have a good size to each piece. I purchased this as a gift; it's definitely a gift you can order with confidence. The box is also very nice. Others have mentioned that it might've been nice if it was lined with felt, but the finish of the box was so nice with a nice hinge that I hardly even notice. Besides, the pieces fill the entire box, so any less space might not accommodate them all. I might purchase this again for myself at some point. The pieces seem durable and attractive when set up or in use.

My teenage daughter made a chess board in school and we needed the pieces to go with it. Looked everywhere and found this nice set of chess pieces on Amazon. We were not disappointed. Nicely made and the pieces show very well.

This was a gift for a 11 year old grandson who just joined a chess club at his school. The box and the pieces were very well done and he loved it. Considering the cost, this was a terrific value that will bring many hours of healthy enjoyment over the years.

Gift to my grandson. One piece was chipped but replaced immediately upon request. Well received by my grandson.

The chess pieces are of a durable quality and the wooden storage box is very nice.

My son picked these out for the chess board he made of wood by hand. These chess pieces are a beautiful set to the awesome board he made. They are well-crafted, durable pieces that work nicely with an approximately 2 feet x 2 feet board. The box that these pieces are stored in is very nice but my son feels it should have been lined with felt so he gives it 4 stars whereas the pieces themselves deserve all 5 stars. He loves these chess pieces and is happy with his purchase. He recommends these to any chess player who needs or wants some nice wooden pieces.

Bought these for my husbands chess table and we're both happy with them. The table is large and the pieces are substantial so they look nice with it.
