Love At Its Finest, February 18, 2011
This review is from: Stay the Night (Dafina Contemporary Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
The fear of storms stemming from a childhood incident, and the unfortunate one that Adana Terrell found herself in, as she weathered it overnight at Kamaui Mazrui's home in Nairobi, Africa would never be forgotten in author Chilufiya Safaa's Stay the Night.
Adana's three sisters found the loves of their lives and lived in Africa fulfilling dreams and enjoying the benefits of the Mazrui's empire, while Adana remained in Virginia enjoying her life as a partner in a prestigious law firm, fighting difficult cases.
However, the recent case Adana worked on found her in the company of someone she wanted to leave in her past, and with another person she wanted to have a future with at the same time. Will the choices Adana makes going forward affect her life in a positive way, or will she turn away from something true and real that will enhance her life in ways she least expected?
I enjoyed reading Stay the Night because of the real lovemaking scenes that were beautiful, and the relationships the characters shared were weaved in such a way that the story was not overwhelming. I loved the names of the characters as well, and look forward to reading more from author Safaa. I recommend this book to everyone who loves tasteful romance and strong family life.

This story will Stay with Me!, December 26, 2010
This review is from: Stay the Night (Dafina Contemporary Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I just finished reading this story and had to write a review. I LOVE THIS STORY. This author is amazing. I've read the other books in the series and I am so sad it has come to an end. The author did a great job bringing the previous stories to a neat and realistic conclusion. I felt transported to all the beautiful places in Africa. The words and declaration of love were so descriptive it made me want to get married again just to say own vows of love and devotion. Kamau was a strong alpha man with a passion so fierce it was palatable. Adana was a strong independent woman with vulnerabilities only a soul mate would assuage. The secondary characters (all from the previous books) weave a delicious love story and add to the rich storyline.
This is a story I would read over and over again when I want to reaffirm my love.

Stay The Night, December 12, 2010
This review is from: Stay the Night (Dafina Contemporary Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
The fourth book of the Terrell Sisters Series and what a way to end this journey. As reader we have been to African, Caribbean and now to Geneva Switzerland.
Adana Terrell is the eldest daughter of Dr. James & Ana Terrell and the most stubborn and strong willed. Adana is the youngest and only female who has finally made partner in the law firm of Wilkes, Willis, Burkes, and Terrell. Adana is a confident lawyer who loves her work but is not happy with her colleagues who says that values her opinion but is always looking over her shoulder.
Kamau Mazrui is the son of Honor Judge Garsen & Adina Mazrui. A well know lawyer for the Mazrui family, Kamau is still grieving over the death of his wife.
Traveling to Kenya to meet with her sisters for one of their get together it was decided in the last book "The Art of Love" which is Afyia story that would get together at least twice a year. On this trip it is design for fun and relaxing but since Adana is working on this big case she brought work with her in hopes of consulting with Amara brother-in-law.
When Kamau & Adana meet at the Mazuri compound because that is where Kamau is staying, he is in the process of selling his home and looking for a new one to start fresh. Kamau has taking time off of work to get his head and heart in order to begin life without his wife. Kamau & Adana as you will find out are so much alike that is why that butt headed often. You have two head strong character here and it is fire from the beginning. On this night Adana & Kamau shares a night of passion has he helps her prepare for a big case about to go to trial. That night Adana will see how attentive and protecting he can be, and Kamau will see that although Adana appears to be this strong confident woman that she is afraid of something. There is a storm coming and what better way to waiting it out.
This is also a time to reflect as well for both with Kamau being the traditional brothers who has always done thing by the traditional way marrying a woman that your parents pick out for you and learning to love, for Kamau the feeling he develop for Adana was new to him because he had never really knew what it meant to love somebody body and soul. For Adana she had put up this wall around her heart because she didn't want to get hurt again. Adana was in a relationship and when she find out that man was married she just felt used and humiliated and her trust in men had made her question her choices in man so she close her heart off.
Let say that night that they spent together was in the front of each of their mind when Adana return back to Virginia, it was decide the morning after that passion night that they would not be together because they thought it was a mistaken or so they say.
Three month later while Kamau was in Washington, DC on business and who did he happen to see on TV none other that the woman on had been on his mind since she left. Once they reconnect in Virginia they decided to continue their sizzling relationship long distance, but commitment issues challenge their future.
I so enjoyed this story that I couldn't put the book down and yes I am sad that this end our journey with the sisters and those FINE MEN. Chilufiya also bring you up to date with all of the couple and the love that these men have for these sisters. I myself was hoping that Ibra sister would get a story so hopeful that story is coming.
A Foreign Affair - Amara & Keino Mazrui
Passionate Encounter - Cassandra & Ras Selassie (Cousin to the Mazrui's)
The Art of Love - Afiya & Ibra Drop (Friend of Ras)
Stay The Night - Adana & Kamau Mazrui
All of these books are great and I recommend all for your reading pleasure.
