We are following all the recommendations and have seen results! Our child is happier and is talking to us because she feels more comfortable due to us "Staying Our of Her Hair". This has led to less pulling and a happier family relationship for all of us, including her siblings. My child is also reading the book and said she can identify with the children portrayed and hopes to understand her disorder and even help other children.

I recommend this book for parents. It is a great source of information and gives you tools to stay somewhat sane. It is a very easy and fast read. I hope this book provides you and your child with strategies to control the pulling impulse as it has done for our child.

This book is a well-written, easy to read resource that is the first to offer direct support to the parents of children who have Trichotillomania. Information about how to understand and accept the many challenges and uncertainties of parenting a child with Trichotillomania are addressed. Case examples interwoven into educational text serve as a unifying thread throughout the book. These examples bring to life the main points of the book and demonstrate to parents how they can make a positive difference. Readers will feel understood and informed. In short, I highly recommend this book to any parent of a child with Trichoillomania.

Great book. Written in very simple terms to help me understand what is happening with my daughter. It also helped me let go of my anger over not being able to "fix" the situation.
