The book is very well laid out and informative without too much technical lingo.
While I'll never be 100% comfortable with him going I feel better knowing he's well informed about how to avoid avalanches and stay safe.

This book is THE BACKCOUNTRY BIBLE. It gets into a bit more snow science than Bruce's 'Avalanche Essentials' book.
Either book is well worth the price to keep you safe.
