This book will give you a view of what we all want but very few attain. It examines the "hard work" that is the essential element in a long-term relationship. There is no magic, just the facts. This is required reading for the journey. A great anniversary gift to a couple that is on the right track. Give with "The Intimacy Dance".

Woman often ask my partner and I what is the secret to our long term (20 years) lesbian relationship. I most often find myself quoting Susan Johnson from Staying Power: Long Term Lesbian Couples. Although, I read this book over 10 years ago, it still stays with me. Ms. Johnson mixes personal stories of seven of the over 100 couples she included in her study along with her findings from the study. The book has some wonderful sage advice from these couples and practical ideas from the author.It is a must read for any lesbians entering or in a long term relationship and for anyone wanting to work with lesbians in long term relationships.
