2012 collection from the American Idol sensation. Steadfast revisits the best of 2010's release Tried And True, featuring selected cuts from that record alongside a newly recorded, original song, "Bring Back My Love." Rounding out the disc are thoughtful covers of Neil Sedaka's "Breaking Up is Hard to Do," and Connie Francis', "Who's Sorry Now." Steadfast is an extension of the journey Clay Aiken began when he recorded Tried And True interpreting some of his all-time favorite songs from the '50s and '60s that he grew up listening to as a child. After putting some distance between himself and the release of Tried And True, he realized his emotional connection with the music remained so strong he felt compelled to return to the album and highlight the tracks he was most proud of.

This is for people who love music with actual melodies. No auto tuning here. His voice shines as always, but the winner for me is the original song "Bring Back My Love". This is one of my favorite songs ever sung by Clay. I am so in love with this song. It shows his tender touch, and yet his powerful vocals come through also. This song so could be a radio hit if only they would play it.

Clay Aiken has a wonderful new follow-up CD to his 2010 offerinng 'Tried And True' in 'Steadfast'. This new CD (10 tracks) Clay Aiken has a great compilation of covers of his old favourites including Neil Sedaka's "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do", Connie Francis' "Who's Sorry Now", 50s/60s classics & his new infectious track "Bring Back My Love". He is very consistent in delivering an incredible music & vocals in this album. Stand-outs/gems/solid tracks include "There's A Kind Of Hush", an opening jazzy track with wonderful piano & vocals, "Bring Back My Love" (great orchestral/piano sound, melody & vocals), "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do", "Crying" (beautiful duet), "Misty" (incredible slow-tempo track) & "Unchained Melody), a great slow jazzy version of this famous classic. Great tracks include "It's Only Make Belief", "It's Impossible", "Who's Sorry Now" & "Moon River". There is no weak track to talk of in this great CD 'Steadfast'.
On overall, this is a fantastic CD release (incredible orchestral base tracks, melody & vocals) by Clay Aiken. A well deserved 5 star performance & a highly recommended CD listening!

Absolutely love the songs on Steadfast and Clay sings them so beautifully and with such emotion. His voice is made for these songs. A definite buy for me.

Love love love
Clay Aiken's voice has been unique from day one. He just keeps getting better and better. This is just a sampling of what he sounds like. Terrific.

I am very disappointed in this album. There is only one song on this album that is original, but I would still buy it for the one song.

Ear candy
Clay's voice is front and center on this album. I particularly love "Bring Back My Love," a new song. Retro feel--that means it's a new song with classic styling. Love it.
