This fantastic album was recorded in 1996 by The Donnas before they changed their name to The Donnas,it's fast,funny,and extremely clever-it's only 17 minutes total,also The Donnas were only 17 when they recorded it!! You even get to hear their comments after a few songs,Brett says "Oh,the song's over now","I didn't like that one",etc. My favorites are "Daquiri Jacquerie","Sno-Cap","Pink Piggies","Doombuggy" and "Jasmean",but I'm sure you have your favorites too,it's too bad there was only 1 Electrocutes album but what we have is truly wonderful,all hail The Donnas,they even go by their own names on this album!! It took a few months to get this album but it was well worth the wait!! Get this if you're a Donnas fan,no Donnas collection should be without it!!

First off, I hope you're not expecting the Electrocutes to sound like The Donnas because the sound is COMPLETELY different. The Electrocutes sound is... well... hard to explain. I would describe it as pure girl-punk, whereas the Donnas sound rock-n-roll-ish. Well, whatever. ."Steal Yer Lunch Money" is loud, fast, unpolished, and funny. Don't be fooled by cheesy, poppy girl bands that say that they're punk. This is the real thing. Too bad they only came out with one release as the Electrocutes. :(

the electrocutes are 4 girls who went on to become the donnas. at the time of this recording they were 14 or 15 years old, and the record--14 songs in 18 minutes--is packed with energy, enthusiasm, and creativity. it's a lot of fun, and definitely worth the money in spite of being short.

THAT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE THE DONNAS....that's right before they made it big as the donnas they were the The Electrocutes...
this was their first album....their sound was a little different but they were and still amazing...you can see the brilliance in the donnas even on their first album....the electrocutes now the donnas they still rock....

I had heard that their was an early band before the donnas called the ELECTROCUTES. so, at first i thought id go to ebay and find it cause i figured it was hard to find, then i stopped and checked into amazon.com and low and behold...THERE IT WAS!!! I LOVE THIS CD!!! I am a REALLLLL big fan of punkish music and this cd rules!!! "assmar" and "hell no" rule!!! if you love the DONNAS then you DEFINETLY need to get this cd!!!

i've always liked girlie-girl type punk. And this is a stellar record for girls of this age. if you get a good deal,grab it!

Whereas the Donna's sound is skin-tight, this early high school noise is just that ... noise and very poor it is. The Donnas have moved on and so should you. A cynical attempt to cash in on their current success - do NOT waste your money for an EP err... album around 15 (fifteen) minutes long.

i am a HUGE fan of the donnas but i had never heard them like this. it is horrible. it is a good thing that i hadn't heard this before i heard what they are now because my life would not be the same. the donnas have helped me and this just sucks

dude....this was such a kool cd. i loved it. i'm a huge fan of the donnas and i really really really loved this cd.
