When Margo Cappolini is abducted by a West Virginia fan who hears messages in her song lyrics, she is drawn back into her unfinished life as an 80's singer- a cascading storm of rock music, insatiable desires, and a daughter she has never known. Stealing Margo is your all-access, backstage pass to a place where intrigue and danger collide, and you won't even try to guess what's next! Author Chad Peery draws from his musician years with bands like Steppenwolf and Bob Welch of Fleetwood Mac, and creates brilliant music scenes in Stealing Margo. His musician's approach to literature carries a refreshing lyrical quality, and makes for an intriguing, easy read.
Chad Peery began his music career at the age of 11 playing in his mother's dance band in Siskiyou County, CA. Drunken cowboys howling at the moon and telling stories were early role models.
The glory days in Los Angeles: 70's and 80's, played bass guitar with John Kay & Steppenwolf, Bob Welch (Fleetwood Mac), Peter Banks (Yes), Gary Lewis and the Playboys, and many others. Appeared in stadiums and arenas with Foreigner, Starship, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Miller, Eddie Money, Cars, etc. High point: played with Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood at Cal Jam II before 300,000 people. Low point: The siege of Thessaloniki, Greece, 1981. We didn't start the trouble, honest.
