Book Description

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

The freedom to defend oneself against all enemies, foreign and domestic, is the very definition of liberty. America’s Founding Fathers went to great lengths to ensure this right wasn’t infringed upon by future lawmakers. Still, to this day, politicians seem determined to undermine that freedom. Once that right is stripped away from the American People, freedom as we know it will cease to exist.

Stealing Second takes a look into future America, an unarmed America, where unmanned drones rule the skies and UN troops police the population. Across the country, detention camps spring up like weeds. Americans are given two weeks to turn in their firearms. But those who believe Americans will easily give up their arms have another thing coming. Washington only succeeds in angering the American People and the country plunges into a second revolutionary war. With the odds stacked heavily against them, Americans fight back to preserve their liberty.

Like many Americans, Gary Smith trusts the government to make his decisions for him. He lives in a world of self-imposed apathy, blissfully ignorant, and determined to remain so. Slowly, the blinders are removed from his eyes. Gary wakes up to find that the world he knows has suddenly changed. Too late, he realizes that he was part of the problem. Desperate to take back what has been stolen from him, Gary joins a group of likeminded individuals in a last-gasp effort to turn back the hands of time.

Powerfully written and uniquely entertaining, this timely tale is a story that begs to be read. However you feel about gun control, whatever side of the proverbial aisle you stand, Stealing Second is an important work of fiction. A plausible scenario that all Americans should consider before allowing our politicians to dismantle the Second Amendment.

5.0 out of 5 stars WHOA!!!!! and AWESOME!!!!!! February 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have read many of Nicholas Antinozzi's books. I love the way he so skillfully creates characters. This book, is ABOVE all his other books, ASTOUNDING and a story I will never forget for the rest of my life! I am reminded of Hitchcock, The Twilight Zone, and over-the-top finesse! He has OUT-DONE himself. This has GOT TO BE A MOVIE! This has GOT to be his finest work, so far! I could NOT put it down, could NOT wait to get back to the story and will look for any and ALL books that he writes! I think he's about to become SERIOUSLY famous!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nick has done it Again! February 13, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Well I have been a fan of Nick Antinozzi and his latest book, Stealing Second (The Amendments) was on the money especially with all of the news about assault weapons needing
To be banned. I love the characters, especially Gary, and Nick always has some characters you love to hate, like Madison. Yes the book is about the Second Amendment, but to me,
Nick 's books is really about our 1st Amendment and allow us to read and think for ourselves and understand that our Freedoms are not free and we the people need to make sure they are not taken away from us. I am already wanting to read the next masterpiece by Mr Antinozzi, so quit ice fishing and get to writing! Do you know what I mean?

1.0 out of 5 stars Crap November 27, 2013
Complete garbage. I am sorry, I had high hopes for this based on reviews. The writing sounds like something a high school kid would write, the story is disjointed and just plain silly much of the time. A guy who is a mind reader, survivalists with gold bars in backpacks, corrupted oath keepers, etc. The narrator is awful, poor delivery and mush mouthed. This is the first book I have ever returned to audible. Simply awful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book February 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Here it us 4:00 am and just now finished Stealing Second. I could not put the book down as usual with Nicks books. Anyone paying attention to what is transpiring in our country will understand how relevant this book is to what may happen. Right, left, conservative, liberal are just labels made up to divide us so we the people keep looking at each other with hate rather than pay attention to the crooks running the government. Even those who don't own firearms should still care that they are trying to make us defenseless. If the guys who do have them lose them there are no more freedoms left for any of us.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you haven't read Nick Antinozzi, you are missing out. February 18, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I have read a lot books in this genre and Nick is my favorite author. I have read all of his books and I always look forward to his next work with eager anticipation. I downloaded this as soon as it was released and stopped reading the book I was currently involved in and read this one. Like his other works, I couldn't put it down.

If you are concerned about the current gun grab that is in the news daily, you should read this. Of course it is a work of fiction but it illustrates the motives and a possible outcome of the destruction of our constitution.

Note to the author. Nick, I really hope you are not screwing around. You should be working on volume 2 because I can't wait to read it. Be sure to let me know when it comes out. Hopefully very soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ripped from the headlines February 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've been a fan of Nick's writing since Desperate Times. Stealing Second was just as good! From page one, you are pulled into the nonstop action. You don't have to agree with all of the politial positions to read this book. It's fast moving and entertaining with characters that you enjoy. You're brought into a time (not to differnt from today) where the government has stripped away our 2nd amendement rights and a full scale war ensues. I'm hoping this is the first of another great trilogy!

2.0 out of 5 stars Paranoid gun-nut fantasy March 28, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
We never do find out why the police, national guard and military - three of the most pro-gun groups of people in our country - agree to collaborate with what-ever government in taking everyone's guns and killing anyone on the spot if they even look like they might disagree with the idea.

Nor do we ever learn how UN peacekeepers (from Canada, no less) agree to enter an American civil war and side with those murdering the civilian population.

We do learn that our hero has a totally infantile romantic life and that his thick-and-stupid group get saved by mind-reader.

The author threatens a sequel: don't bother.
