Like other reviews have stated, the trackball is horrible. How is it horrible? Well (for me), it goes up and down fine, and it goes left fine, but it's basically impossible to get it to go right. All in all, that actually didn't bother me much, as I had ordered a nice green trackball to go with the jet black housing, and that arrived the next day and works better than my original trackball did.

The thing comes with _absolutely_ no instructions. I'm a do-it-myself kind of guy in general, and used to actually do a lot of random electronics repairs. But this thing was a mess. There were pieces (like the earpiece speaker, the flash for the camera, a rubber casing for the microphone opening) that were semi-permanently attached to the old housing that needed to be transferred and attached. This worked mostly alright, but was a pain. The metal case they provided for around the lcd screen was attached to the housing, requiring me to take the existing one off of the lcd screen (to which it was glued). This didn't go well - the screen cracked (be careful - they crack _really_ easily), and now I need to replace it (which looks like another $10-$15 here on Amazon - not bad, but annoying!).

So, anyhow, I finally got the phone all together, and it looks great (aside from the screen that needs replacing). Now, 3 days later, the jet black finish is chipping off. I'm really not a "your product is defective, I want my money back" kind of guy, but I really might have to go that route on this one.

The screen was cracked, the housing itself was cracked, the trackball sucks, and the keyboard that came with it has missing points in the letterbacks. I suggest to move to another supplier because they don't care about the customers

I was looking for a new track ball for my phone when I found this package. I bought this package because it was reasonably price and I can give a new to my phone. However, there is a lack of quality in the product. The package I received did not include the plastic opener, so I struggled a bit with take out my old housing. I first replaced everything on my phone with this package. The housing did not fit the phone perfectly as the faceplate did not snap in properly. I also noticed that, with the new casing, the phone lost a lot of volume in my ringtone, which made it hard to hear when someone calls me. So I decided to use the old speaker plate (the inner plate) that came with the phone, which improved the sound and made the new faceplate fit better. However, I then noticed another flaw in the product: The paint on the faceplate started to chip away on the second day. So overall, although I got a lot for the price I paid, but quality of the product is poor.

came with two of the same screw drivers and the housing was missing a connection. i was lucky to have the other screw driver in my tool box and i just used the old part with the new housing good thing i saw it before i put it back together.

The case was easy to install and fit well. The keyboard has the q&a letters and the w&z letters reversed. The trackball doesn't fit in the keypad base. I had to use my old keyboard and keypad base.

The best thing about this item is the tools that are sent in the package... the material that makes up this housing is unacceptable for this price. The 'i' was not functional on the keypad as the pin behind it was missing and the button crumpled, it didn't come with a flash, the connection that carries the current from the battery to the phone was defective, the trackball does not work, the power button malfunctioned as it was not making contact, the speakers sounded like they were blown, there isn't enough padding in the housing for the phone ... my conclusion ---> probably I received a defective item.

the case is an excellent and cheap alternative to refresh your blackberry, the fit for the bb curve 8310 was almost perfect, however some parts that have clips came damaged and i had to use some parts from the old phone. I suggest buying a good quality trackball separately because the one that comes with the kit is of very bad quality i'd say disposable.

This product is very convenient.....the additional tools allow you to change the cover in a sure and easy way.

My best friend's phone was being held together by duct tape. I was embarrased to have her answer my calls, so I bought this housing and her phone is shiny and pretty again. The only reason I dropped it one star is that it came with everything but two screws which, in most cases are probably fine and cozy in the phone, but not in my friend's demolished model.
