Robert Spencer describes an America that welcomes its mortal enemies into its midst, gives them equal time with our founders' ideals, and defends their right to hate us. Spencer is a veteran of the struggle against jihad; his previously published titles include "The Truth About Muhammad," "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam, and the Crusades," "Religion of Peace, Why Christianity is and Islam isn't," "The Myth of Islamic Tolerance," and "Islam Unveiled..." Spencer adds his voice to Islam's courageous adversaries, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Brigitte Gabriel, Mark Steyn, Bruce Bawer, Carafano and Rosenweig, Benjamin and Simon, Efraim Karsh, Mary Habeck. Take the time to understand Spencer's and these other authors' warnings; distill their thoughts; and join the resistance to Islam's malevolent spread in America. France and Holland are already past the tipping point and will have some form of sharia law within 50 years. If you don't think it can happen here in America consider the Minnesota taxi incidents of 2006.

One taxi driver refused to pick up passengers carrying alcoholic beverages at the Minneapolis airport because to do so would "insult Islam." Soon other drivers joined the embargo against passengers with alcohol. The city tried a system using different colored taxis to accommodate the drivers who were and weren't willing to transport alcohol, but the system broke down. Within three months 5,400 passengers were denied service. The drivers claimed that they were defending "freedom of religion." In fact, Spencer shows that no one was preventing the drivers from practicing Islam. What the drivers were doing was "asserting sharia norms over non-Muslims." Had the precedent been allowed, what was to prevent drivers from refusing to carry passengers with pork products, or an unmarried couple?

Spencer shows that it is the Muslim Brotherhood, founded in 1928 in Egypt by Hassan al Banna, which is directing these and other incursions into the unalienable rights which Americans blithely take for granted. The Muslim American Society is the Brotherhood's front organization in America, and the Council of Islamic-American Relations is its political arm. These organizations reject peaceful coexistence, reject moral equivalence, and reject pluralistic governance. Resistance to jihad is not bigoted, racist, hatemongering, or Islamophobic; it is self defense against the war Muslims are obliged to wage against us. For them to live peacefully with us is to insult the prophet Muhammad.

You will not have to believe Spencer. His argument is most forcefully made by Islam's governance documents, the Qur'an and the Hadith (traditions of the prophet), and by Muslim writers and speakers themselves. Spencer quotes Islam's words verbatim and shows that there is no scope for compromise in the mandate to convert us, extract jizya (humiliating tax on non-Muslims), or kill us. These are their sole options and they mean business. America's very openness, its civil rights, its democratic ideals and institutions, and its tolerance create a vulnerability which Muslims use against us.

Spencer hails Representative Sue Myrick (R-NC) for her ten point plan to counter jihadist activity in the United States. The Myrick Plan is a commonsense list of urgently needed tools and policies. No rational person could object to a single one of them. So who objects? The Council on Islamic-American Relations for starters. At what point will Americans wake up to the threat of Islamic jihad? When Islamic students in Brooklyn start wearing tee shirts emblazoned with "Intifada in USA?" Guess what? The school principal tried to defend the students' rights to flaunt their violent intents.

Jihadis in America will continue to press forward with their "right" to subjugate us; is it their sworn religious duty. You will either accept their gradual incursions, this "stealth jihad," or you will find the courage to resist. The more of us who are exposed to the thoughts of Spencer and other banner carriers for the resistance, the less effective the jihadis will be. It's your America; keep it that way.

After seven years, the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 are fading in the memory of many, and with no further attacks on U.S. soil, it's easy for too many Americans to dismiss the threat of radical Islam as "the politics of fear."

But as the tireless, prolific Robert Spencer details in his latest book, the threat is no less real and isn't only about overt acts of terrorism. It's a decades-long subversive effort, on behalf of a totalitarian ideology, to tear down America and the West from within, using our own freedoms and cultural openness to erode those freedoms and literally subjugate us.

Sounds far-fetched? It's precisely such skepticism and overconfidence that keeps too many of us from acknowledging the imminent danger. Europe is already nearly a lost cause, and it's happening in America as well. It's only a question of whether we'll recognize the threat and push back, or keep giving gradual ground until our way of life is no longer. And that's the value of this book: to educate us about the implacable ideology of our enemy, to expose the various fronts on which this covert battle is being waged - legal, political, educational and cultural - and to offer suggestions as to how to take action.

The book's not long but covers a lot of ground. It's scholarly but a quick and compelling read. I can't recommend it enough, if only because its message is literally critical for America's survival. You'll be disturbed and outraged, but inspired as well.

In the coming months you will see the usual reviews here attempting to smear Mr. Spencer as a racist and "Islamophobe," and to trash the book as a pack of lies - reviews usually from customers who clearly haven't even read the book. One thing you won't see is any such reviews disproving or even addressing his arguments, because the book is thoroughly researched and seamlessly argued, as are all his books. Just remember that 1) Islam isn't a race, and 2) Islamophobia is nothing but trumped-up name-calling designed to silence the critics of radical Islam. We need such courageous critics as Mr. Spencer.

Once again, Spencer delivers. Never has this topic been more important than now, when we are again becoming complacent about Islam, believing that because we have not been attacked again, we are safe.
This is and always has been the most insidious form of jihad against us, and we need to be aware of it, speak out against it, and defeat it.
Spencer lays it all out clearly, convincingly, and in his usual scholarly fashion.
DO NOT MISS THIS BOOK! Read it, pass it on to your family and friends, send copies of it to your Politicians and law enforcement.

Yet another great contribution from Robert Spencer. He should receive America's highest award for service to the nation. The only way we will resist Islam's steadily increasing influence on and subversion of our culture is for a large grass roots movement to develop. Such a movement requires large numbers of people that are very well educated as to the full truth and danger of Islam, its history, and its votaries' goals and means of advancing their unholy cause through all overt and covert means. Mr. Spencer's latest book will, hopefully, help develop the general awareness needed to kick start the massive grass roots movement needed to oppose Islam's extremely motivated and ruthless adherents. Our leaders and institutions have failed us miserably. We must, as private citizens, take back control of our society and save our culture or, like all of Islam's past victims, see our culture destroyed. Just consider how much of a foothold Islam has gained in the West since the 1970's. Give it another 39 years and its advance may be irreversible. While he may not be aware of his own importance, the West needs Mr. Spencer and another one million people just like him. As with all of his other books I have read, in Stealth Jihad, Mr. Spencer exhibits his usual and natural talent for stating his case and proving it. He would have made a good attorney. Perhaps, metaphorically, he is a lawyer and his clients are all the people that want to avoid the physical and mental slavery inherent when Islam gains enough control of any society. If you want to leave the free society you enjoyed to your grandchildren, buy Stealth Jihad and join the community of Islamic critics fighting to oppose Islam in all of its guises.

Step One: Purchase Robert Spencer's "Stealth Jihad."

Step Two: Read Robert Spencer's "Stealth Jihad." No, I mean really read it. Word for word. Fact-check it.

Step Three: If you value freedom of speech, freedom of religion, human equality, human rights, and the pursuit of happiness, you are now concerned about stealth jihad.

Spencer's critics, in posts here and elsewhere, marshal a shopworn series of gripes that are simply not believable to anyone who has ever read a word that Spencer has written.

Bogus criticism number one: "Spencer is a racist." Islam is an ideology, not a race. Muslims, like Communists or Capitalists or UFO Conspiracy Theorists, can be any nationality and any color. In virtually everything he publishes, Spencer repeats, ad infinitum, that most Muslims are not at all interested in jihad.

Bogus criticism number two: "Spencer is an Islamophobe." "Islamophobe" is a word invented to stop any thought about Islam. Those who accuse others of being "Islamophobic" reveal themselves to be free-speech opponents whose goal is the silencing, by any means necessary, of any critique of Islam. People who deploy the made-up term "Islamophobia" are the white-collar allies of the Muslim who stabbed filmmaker Theo Van Gogh to death for criticizing Islam.

Bogus criticism number three: "Spencer is not fluent in Arabic." Spencer knows Islam backward and forward. In debates, visible on the web, Spencer bests the most highly-placed Islamapologists.

Bogus criticism number four: "Other religions say scary things." If you know nothing about comparative religion, this argument may fool you. Advice: study religion. Read the Bible, the Vedas, the Sutras, the Koran. You will rapidly discover that religions are different. Islam is the youngest of the world's large faiths. Its scripture is very short, and was composed by one man - Mohammed. The job of a Muslim is to submit. A Muslim who changes his mind about Islam is punished with death. Followers are commanded to war for the day when Islam reigns supreme on the entire planet. The teachings of other faiths, no matter how outlandish, do not parallel Islam's features of unquestioning submission on pain of death, jihad, sharia, gender apartheid, dhimmitude, and its rigid rejection of any self-criticism, and resultant evolution.

Bogus Criticism number five: "Spencer serves imperialist power." No. As "Stealth Jihad" demonstrates, petroleum purchases politicians, universities, and immunity from criticism. Spencer is David against Goliath.

"Stealth Jihad," in Spencer's signature step-by-step, factually supported style, argues two things: Islam is a supremacist ideology that demands that its adherents fight ceaselessly to establish, not parity with, but dominance over, the rest of the people on planet Earth. Spencer backs up this assertion with endless quotations from key, canonical, Islamic texts, central events from Muslim history, and direct quotes from Muslim activists in the United States, describing their own activities as a quest for domination and the reduction of non-Muslim Americans to inferior, dhimmi status: their words, their plans.

Why "stealth" jihad? Stealth jihadis, as they themselves describe it, are using Political Correctness to create, as they themselves put it, a "state within a state," which will serve as a foothold to eventual domination. Stealth jihadis hijack the American Civil Rights movement. "We are just like Martin Luther King!" they speciously claim.

What does this state look like? "Stealth Jihad" describes it: Public, tax-supported swimming pools are closed - no coed swimming is allowed. American Muslim schools teach American Muslim children to fight ceaselessly against non-Muslims, not to take non-Muslims as friends, that Christians and Jews are monkeys and pigs (all quotes from the Koran), and that Islam - not the country in which they live - is their only authority, and that the umma, the world community of Muslims - is their only community.

Where might all this lead? A thorough reply is found in Andrew Bostom's "The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism." This priceless, 766-page book provides an exhaustive and sobering account of how dhimmis are treated in Muslim societies. Non-Muslims have been crucified, in accord with the Koran (5:33), enslaved, massacred, blown up, forced to wear distinctive patches (sometimes in the shape of a monkey or a pig), taxed, humiliated, refused the right to wear a cross or build a church, refused the right to ride a horse...you get the idea. Converts to Islam received lots of incentives, including, for example, the right to lay claim to all of their non-Muslim relatives' property.

Spencer sites France, Belgium, and Sweden, where there are, today, no-go areas. Police and ambulances, as a matter of public policy, will not enter Muslim districts. This surrender of formerly European soil to Islam renders these areas havens for gang rape of non-Muslim women, drug dealing, and the beating of Jews.

The mistreatment of minorities in Muslim majority countries is not random, not the result of a bad harvest or a cruel leader, not something that was ever corrected by other Muslims. As Spencer shows, these policies are consistent with the supremacist imperative central to Islam. Stealth jihadis, as they themselves state, are working right now to establish these policies in the United States. If members of any other group were working for an overthrow of the United States, we would take action. In his final chapter, Spencer argues that we should not allow Political Correctness' ban on criticism of Islam to prevent us from taking necessary action now to protect, for our grandchildren, the freedom we inherited from our courageous forebears.

Does America face a jihadist threat bigger than terrorism, coming from within? STEALTH JIHAD says 'yes' - and tells of a long-term plot by Islamic jihadists to undermine the U.S. by gradually Islamizing America. The ultimate goal is the adaptation of Islamic law in the U.S. - and chapters here document the efforts of an Islamic fundamentalist organization behind such an effort. From a systematic strategy to accommodate Islamic cultural and religious practices in America to how Islamic influences affect U.S. policies overseas, any library strong in modern terrorism and social issues needs this as debate material.

I am blazing through 'Stealth Jihad', witten by Robert Spencer. That guy hits the nail on the head. He puts in perfect words about the naiveté and futility of the now seemingly bi-partisan belief that we can negotiate ourselves into a state of coexistance with the imperialistic Islamic agenda. As he writes, there is absolutely nothing we can do or not do that will change the radical Islamic view of our society or bring a peaceful state of coexistance.

This is a world war we are in and it is a war of ideals and religion (the most grave sort). As referenced in the book, the first rule of war is to know your enemy and to understand the nature of the battle you are in and that is where our policies have failed. You can't win the hearts and minds of the Islamist, no more successfully than the bomb-wielding child murderer can win you or I over to accept and share his reasoning.

The book also points out the success of the non-violent plan to assimilate the non-Muslim population. As a metaphor, I am reminded of the fictional Star Trek characters, the Borg. The difference is that with the Borg, the purpose of assimilation through both violent and non-violent means was to expand its ever-growing "hive" of like-minded, efficient, dedicated and submissive community for the betterment of the whole. The assimilation agenda of Islam has no wants or expectations of a truce or acceptance of its ideals... there is no live and let live thought toward non-believers, it is about conquer, domination, religious biggotry, slavery and brutal iron fist rule.

Not only am I afraid that our President Elect lacks the knowledge, experience and guts to understand and deal with our enemy, I am afraid that we will not soon see a leader who can do the job that needs to be done. We have been P.C. browbeaten and brainwashed so successfully by the leftists in our own society, that the agents of this "stealth Jihad" agenda can see the clear-cut path for success... and they are working all the angles. As it stands, any elected official that calls an Islamic terrorist and Islamic terrorist is committing political suicide and setting himself up for a civil lawsuit. Any policy maker or elected official who points out hateful language spewed in mosques and these "moderate Islamic social justice group" meetings and the correlation between it and the very writings that Muslims hold most sacred is committing political suicide and setting himself up for a civil lawsuit. The attacks not only come from the Islamic "justice and civil rights" lawyers but our leftist P.C. stormtroopers in the US media are more than happy to lead the charge to "right the wrong".

Again, the words of Ariel Durant come to mind: "A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within."

Daniel Webster warned, "There is no nation on earth powerful enough to accomplish our overthrow. Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter. From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence. I must confess that I do apprehend some danger. I fear that they may place too implicit a confidence in their public servants and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct; that in this way they may be made the dupes of designing men, and become the instruments of their own undoing."

Webster's warning rings hauntingly clear when you witness first-hand our own policy makers roll in their own filth of ignorance and unwillingness/inability to muster the courage to call this huge, feathery, quacking thing for what it is.

Great book!

Seven years after 9/11, most Americans remain ignorant about the history, nature and intent of Islamic jihad. Even our elected leaders today profess the view of Islam as a peaceful religion. Unfortunately Islam is anything but peaceful. Islam is more of a political ideology than a personal faith, and exists in a fundamental and permanent state of war with non-Islamic civilizations, cultures and individuals. The Islamic holy texts outline a social, governmental and economic system for all mankind in Sharia law. Any cultures and individuals who do not submit to Islamic governance exist in a state of rebellion with Allah and must be forcibly brought into submission.

Everywhere Islam exists it slowly overpowers and oppresses any freedom of speech, thought or action until it is the only dominant ideology. One only has to look to Europe to see it happening there. How long before America follows?

Islam seeks to dominate the world, whether it does it by violence or by stealth. Robert Spencer's new book is a wake up call for America.

So many individuals in our Government (and others in authority), plus nearly every other American Citizen, have a faulty misconception of Islam. Most of them believe that Islam is a (Politically Correct) "Religion of Peace" without ever having read even a single page of the Qu'ran (Muslim Holy Book). They take everyone elses interpretation of what Islam is. Robert Spencer, an outstanding student and author of several books on Islam and director of the web site "Jihad Watch," gets down to the "nitty-gritty" in his book "Stealth Jihad" and explains the faulty conceptions which we Americans have with Islam and the problems which it is causing us now AND will continue to seriously cause us in the very near future.

Spencer states quite franky that the "Islamic Brotherhood," one of the listings on the Federal Watch list of Undesirable Individuals and Groups, is being invited by our many of public schools and colleges to establish in our schools, colleges and universities (because of a "need for diversity") Islamic student groups whose main purpose is to PROSELYTIZE American students into becoming Muslims! If a Christian Group went to a school and tried to do that today they would be sued by the ACLU before you could even blink an eye!

Spencer also points out that by using tactics such as this the Muslims stand a good chance of taking over our Government, doing away with our Constitution, and placing us under "Sharia Law!" All of this with out even firing a SINGLE shot!

"What is Sharia Law?" you ask. This is the Law as set up by the Qu'ran (Muslim Holy Book), which everyone MUST follow. Examples: All Women and young girls 12 and older when they are in public MUST have their bodies covered from head to toe except for two small openings by which they are to see. This is also the same the Law which states that it is good for one to be Spiritual, but much better for one to be a Martyr (one who dies on a mission) on a jihad by which they will asscend directly into heaven and have 70 never changing Virgins awaiting them for their pleasure.

It would be good for every American Citizen to read this book simply because it points out the weaknesses of our misguided belief that you can "reason" with a Muslim. According to their belief (the Qu'ran) it is alright to agree to something (i.e., a Treaty, etc.) IF they think the delay will help them (the Muslims) gain strength and thus a better position, and THEN it is PERMITTED and even ENCOURGED to break the treaty so that they (the Muslims) can defeat the enemy (you and I) and either convert them to Islam or KILL EVERY ONE.

Don 't take my word for these statements. Do two things: (1) Purchase or borrow the book "Stealth Jihad" by Robert Spencer and read it, and then (2) get an English translation of the Qu'ran, look up the mentioned verses (or read the foot notes in the book) and read it for yourself. This is what I have done and it has opened my eyes immensely to the evils which we face IF we DON'T wake up and become aware of our immediate problems- NOW!

I had just been reading T.E. Lawrence's book, "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom," when I began to read "Stealth Jihad" (as a Kindle download to my IPhone). "The Seven Pillars" is Lawrence's account of the Arab revolt against Turkey, in which he played a part. If any Westerner was close to Islamic tribes, Lawrence was. Lawrence says, simply, that jihad is the Moslems' war against Christianity. Spencer's 2008 book, "Stealth Jihad," is about the "peaceful," non-violent forms the jihad against Christianity can take today. It is well researched, and ultimately quite convincing. Spencer reports on current Islamic imperialism and Islamic supremacism. The sudden appearance of Muslims in every Western country since 1980 remains something of a mystery. But Spencer points out that parts of Europe have become "dhar al Islam" (the house of Islam) -- that is, no-go zones. Muslims committed to a programme of Islamic supremacy expand their presence and influence by taking advantage of Western freedoms and subsidies, by always accusing those who question their doings as "bigots" and "haters," by teaching their children Islamic supremacy from Saudi-funded texts, and preaching jihad against Christendom in Saudi-funded mosques, by insisting on erecting cultural centers, mosques, and amplified minarets in the midst of Western neighborhoods, by launching lawsuits against all who oppose them, by harassing Westerners, especially women, in the streets, and by bullying Christian and Jewish children near schools, and vandalizing property in the no-go zone that they do not control, those engaged in such jihad eventually create areas which are "dhar al Islam." In Malmo, Sweden, for example, ambulances will not respond to calls in the no-go zones created in newly Muslim neighborhoods without police protection, and no police car will enter (it will be damaged) without the protection of another police car. In parts of England, Christian women who feel they are denied the freedom of the streets go about shrouded in black burkas for safety. Muslim leaders congratulate Western countries on the extent to which their laws are "sharia compliant." Their goal, Spencer shows, is to create an Islamic state, that is, a forced, all-encompassing way of life, not just a state-established religion; most conspicuously to keep women subserviant and off the streets. Many other current books are corroborating reports of the Islamicization of Europe. It appears it can also happen here.
