5.0 out of 5 stars Ty keeps you kicking your boots up song after song!
Quality output song after song. The title song sets the pace for the CD - slow and vibrating. Definitely a CD you'd put in the disk for long hauls cuz short hauls would only leave you wanting to sit in the truck. Like his other CDs STEAM sets the country soul singing. You'll find yourself dancing in the grocery store.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cross-over attempt?
This an obvious attempt at a cross-over album. With Ty's flashy new make-over, he has selected several songs that seem to have no tie to country music. It is a decent album, but not as consistently good as his past albums have been.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ty keeps up the good work., January 30, 2000

On this CD "STEAM" Ty proves that he is still out there and doing better than ever. The songs on this album are amazing and you just don't want to turn them off. His most amazing song is, "No Mercy". This song really sticks out from the rest of the songs on this CD. Although, they are all good, this is my pick on the album. Ty put a lot of hard work and dedication behind this CD for his fans. This is definetly a CD that you want to put in your shopping cart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable, May 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Steam (Audio CD)
I enjoyed this CD, as I enjoy all of Ty's CDs. I own all 4 of his albums. I bought this one for two reasons: (1) To add to my collection of his albums and (2) Because I fell in love with the song No Mercy. That's my favorite song on the whole CD. The only track I really didn't like was You Can Leave Your Hat On. True, this CD isn't quite as country sounding as some of Ty's previous works. It lies on the boundary of pop. Without a doubt, "Steam" is a crossover album. But it's good nonetheless.

5.0 out of 5 stars Herndon's 'Steam'y Vocals Win Over Fans, November 28, 1999
This review is from: Steam (Audio CD)
On his 4th CD,Ty Herndon shows what keeps his fans coming back for more, his amazing vocal ability. Whether it is the heart wrenching "Pray For Me," or the sensual steamy lyrics of "Steam" Herndon pulls your emotions in all directions with this lyrical masterpiece. Other highlights of the cd include "No Mercy," "New York Second," and the decidingly pop-ish "Love Like That." This is truly a CD you won't be disappointed in. With honey smooth vocals and a warm welcoming voice, Herndon pulls you in with his emotions and leaves you begging for more. You'll want to pick up his 3 other CD's What Mattered Most, Living In a Moment and Big Hopes.

Ty Herndon sings with such awesome conviction and such passion that it is hard to not be moved or turned on! I have listened to this CD about five times in a row now and can only say that I am in love with Ty Herndon. 5.0 out of 5 stars Makes you want to get out of your chair and dance!, April 28, 2000

What a wonderful CD! I enjoyed listening to every song, especially "Steam" and "No Mercy" (both #1 hits in my opinion). Ty's beautiful, sexy voice really came across with those two singles and all the other songs on the CD "STEAM"! "I Can't Do It All", a lovely slow meaningful song, would make a great next single.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT!!!!!!, September 30, 2004
This review is from: Steam (Audio CD)
@.@ wow! thats what I have to say about Ty Herndon's Steam CD. I have to say that this CD is hit after hit after hit. At first I thought that my favorites would be "Steam" and "No Mercy" but after listening to the CD, I found that this was not the case. All of the songs on this CD were so good it is hard to pick a favorite. "That's What I Call Love" would have to win the bet though. I have to say that I am NOT regretful for purchusing this CD and will recemend it to anyone who likes Country Music!

WOW! Wow wow wow! Ty continues to amaze me with his sexy image and fantastic vocal abilities! He pushes the envelope a little with "Steam" and "You Can Leave Your Hat On", but I love them! He also brings out his softer side with "Pray for Me" and "I Can't Do It All". I highly recommend this CD to anybody! Preview some songs and buy it! It's teriffic! TY: keep it up!
