It also contains an extra 589 pages of Appendices: Units of Measure, Affixes, Abbreviations, and Symbols; Physical Terminology; Infection Control; Reference Values; Body Mass and Surface Calculations; Assessment and Care; Drug Information; Diet and Nutrition; Professional Information. It also contains a CD-ROM with Audio Pronunciations for more than 48,000 terms; Anatomical animations; and a Medical/Pharmaceutical Spellchecker. Any person in the medical field would be well armed with this excellent, informative book. The CD is, as stated, a bonus; have not found a need to use it, but good to have. What I do not like about this "book," is that it was printed as a short, thick book. It would have been better to have a wider/thinner book, rather than a short/thick book; the illustrations wouldn't be so small otherwise. Finally, I like that the dictionary has ABC tabs to make finding a word quick and easy.
