Stedman's publishes a great many word books, all of which are excellent. They contain hundreds of pages of terms, nicely cross-referenced (e.g. "endoscopic pancreatography" found both under E and P), which is essential. Their research is ongoing and exhaustive, and results in the best publications of this type. While some of their specialty books may be done without by the average transcriptionist, GI/GU is a necessity for all MTs but those who transcribe only for a specific specialty like dentistry or psychiatry. Highly recommended. Even after three-plus years as a full-time MT, I use mine very frequently.
