If you would like to know about Japanese women and their situation in Japan, this book will give you pertinent information about them. However, Japanese women whom the author had interviewed were mostly from middle to upper class in Japan. Therefore, you may not find information about other socio-economic levels or positions from other Japanese woman. On the other hand, you will find out how much they are similar to American woman in terms of their identity as women. You will see the evolution of the Japanese woman's identity in a male dominanted society, both in America and Japan.
