This is actually a pretty handy little tool for any Dungeonmaster. The strength of each magnet is low enough that they slide around the board easily without falling off at every bump or tap. Writing on the board and magnets is quite easy as well.
The metal that is wedged between the cardboard sheets is sturdy and runs nearly edge-to-edge for maximum usability even with magnets that don't come in the original package (I added Fridge-Pins - Translucent Colors). This tool was originally designed for D&D 3.5, but it works just fine with 4e as well. The only downside is some wasted space (at the edges and top) that could be better used for more notes or longer lists and, you will end up losing the smaller magnets sooner or later so you could end up buying the additional magnets later (not sold at Amazon!).

I love having this for running campaigns with larger groups or encounters with larger numbers of monsters, but I don't know that I would buy it again. When I received it in the mail and opened it up, one of the corners was somewhat squished, and the product itself is fairly flimsy. I would have expected it to have a hard plastic or metal backing, but it is instead just a magnet pad reinforced with multible layers of thin and flimsy card-stock type material. It's a useful tool for GMing a game, but much more fragile than I would prefer considering the $20+ cost.
