Now I can play my favorite games with the best possible sound performance.

Regardless of the software I used to stream, it seemed to be a ASUS problem, hence the reason why I bought this USB sound card.

With several comments about the same issue I expected some type of feedback or recommendation from the company.

I plugged it in, I started FL Studio and I got better latency times than I got with the (terrible) onboard soundcard I had on my extra computer. It's a real time saver to be able to use all the computers in the house to jot down musical ideas. I know this sound card is for video games but the sound is much better than the onboard sound in all but one of my four computers, and that's without installing the included software or drivers. I'm trully impressed. Can't say how it works for games but it a great portable soundcard to me. The cords a little long, that's about my only gripe with it.

Great product. Works extremely well as a replacement soundcard. I broke my laptop headphone jack when I tripped over the cord while running on my treadmill. I use my laptop for music and listen with the headphones (loud) so I don't disturb the family. I was mortified when I broke the jack and searched the internet exhaustively for a good product after I couldn't find anything similar in my local Circuit City or Best Buy. Luckily I found this product. I was up and running in less than 2 minutes. Very easy volume control manipulation. I have Windows XP Professional. A minor beef I have is that it comes with a separate USB cord/cable that connects the device to the computer. It would have been better with no cord and a direct connection like a thumb drive. Still, I can't say enough how impressed I am with the product. Highly recommended.

I bought the Steelseries USB Soundcard so I could have more options with the Siberia v2 headset (analog).

Out of the box the mute button was stuck. The updated drivers from the manufacturer did not solve the problem, nor did the FAQ on their support webpage. With several comments about the same issue I expected some type of feedback or recommendation from the company.

Received sound card and it did not work properly from the minute we started to use it. The mute button was stuck in the "on" position. There was no way for anyone to hear my son while gaming with others online. He was very disappointed, especially since he had received his headset and that was not what we expected. It did not come complete so that he could play online with others. (I had ordered the same headset for my older child in Dec 2011 and that headset worked fine for gaming with others online. It came complete with working soundcard. I thought by ordering a soundcard for the second headset, that this would solve our problem. Unfortunately it did not, it arrived defective.

I was skeptical to purchase this item based on the negative reviews. I did order it due to the more positive reviews. I had ordered other Siberia products with good results, still working 7 months later, and happy with the quality and comfort of the headset.

I received this product in the mail today and was pretty excited to use them with my SteelSeries Siberia V2's. First time plugging them in and the headphone pin does not fit properly in the jack, but instead must be pressed in further than they sit normally to hear sound correctly. Rotating the pin inside the jack will cut off all sound, as well.

I am disappoint.

First let me say that I'm a huge fan of steelseries products, and i bought this sound card for my steelseries headset mic combo because of that, even after reading the bad reviews. Unfortunately the horrble reviews were right, This sound card is straight up defective. It worked after installing the drivers for it, and it sounded great while it was working, but it soon after stopped. Thinking "what's the deal here" I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it works again. Very soon after that it happened again, and again, and again. Bummed out, I requested a replacement from amazon. Though speedy as usual, the second card had the same problem. As a gamer, having the sound go out in the middle of a game is unnaccepable. I kept having to restart whatever game I was playing every time the stupid sound card died, total BS. The fact that I got 2 of the same card with the same problem is really saying something. Steelseries, I love your stuff but this sound card is total junk.
