this was recommended as the BEST introduction to steelhead fishing and, most especially, steelhead fly tying. The recommendation was right. As a newcomer to steelhead tying this has been a GREAT recipe book. The history and use of these flies is succinct and believable. Anyone looking to begin or even with experience who does not have this should get a copy. Not available new but I am very happy with the quality and the price
