These Steeltainer compact leak proof stainless steel food storage containers are ideal for small lunches, snacks and storage. Use them at work, for school waste free lunch programs, while travelling, camping and more. Carry veggies, fruit pieces, cold salads, sushi, wraps or a small sandwich. You can even bring yogurt, chili, curries and dips. An adjustable stainless steel separator lets you divide the container into either 2 equal compartments or one smaller and one larger compartment. Simply remove the divider when you need one larger compartment. Eco-friendly Steeltainers are an effective alternative to plastic or glass containers. I wanted to love these, but they are a pain.
Cons:
The plastic outer cover is difficult to separate from the steel portion. I usually take a knife to separate them and pop it off.
The divider is movable, so it doesn't seal anything in (meaning if you put yogurt and granola in different sides it would leak through the bottom and top of the divider).

I bought this container to use in my son's lunch box rather than plastic bags. I'm very pleased with it, but the lid and plastic bottom are to be hand washed. I wish I could just put them in the dishwaser with the stainless steel piece. I'm not sure if I would have purchased it if I had read that beforehand.

Love this container... despite the fact that it may takes a little to separate the steel from the plastic part of the container, my children enjoy and receive many compliments on this little lunch box. They are able to open and close with ease and love the fact that their sandwich can be separate from their fruit. We continue to love this easy to clean, leak proof and versatile use of container.
The only request that I may have for Steeltainer.. is if they would consider making one just a notch bigger than this one... These containers are good for snacks and toddler lunches..not for adults, unless you eat very little.
