This is just the right size for one martini but the cover doesn't fit properly. You have to really push it down firmly or else it comes right off when shaking, but then it is hard to remove.

what can i say? you get what you pay for. i bought 4 of these things just to have a set of cold steel cups for juice in the morning. they haven't rusted, but they aren't at all sturdy. i wouldn't use them regularly for martinis. also note that the product is probably way smaller than you might think it is by looking at the picture.

- The lid is hard to remove if you push it down too far. Just don't push it down too far (it will still form a good seal if you don't)
- Perfect for chilling shots.
- Sleek stainless steel.
- I was able to pour out through the strainer with minimal dripping.

I bought 4 of these. Guess what???? The tops are not interchangeable among the bottoms. God help you if you decide to mix a few drinks and do not keep the right tops associated with the right bottoms. The tops are either too tight (in which case you cannot make them fit) or too loose (in which case they leak when shaking). If you buy one, you are probably OK. But if you buy more than one you will regret it. Right now we have one that we cannot take apart. So that leaves us three. And, of course, another one is too loose (it being the one that was mixed up with the now-stuck-forever one). Total POS's

Great little shakers at a great price. I don't have a clue while some folks were complaing about rust. Rinse them out, and/or wash them, and sit them on a strainer or towel overnight and they will not rust.

The cocktail shaker was the exact gift I needed to give my friend for her party.

We opened these little bundles of joy early for a Christmas party. My 62 year old room mate was delighted with the thought of having her own cocktail shaker....and a pretty one too! Moments later the joy was shattered (which it often is) by the slicing of flesh and an ensuing bloodbath followed. Laughing hysterically at this funny but painful folly, i decided to put the top on her cocktail shaker myself. To my utter amazement and sheer surprise i too sliced my finger open! thank goodness our trusty manservant was on hand to administer bandages and comforting words! So let this be a warning to you. BE CARFUL THE LIDS ARE SHARP!! A special thank you to Brabinger, the butler. (There IS a reason why people should not be mixing their own drinks and should rely on a trained professional!)
