Author and photographer David A. Laws has written for Steinbeck Studies, the journal of the Center for Steinbeck Studies, contributed photographs to the anthology John Steinbeck: A Centennial Tribute, and presented at the "John Steinbeck’s Americas" Centennial Conference in New York. The San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner, San Jose Mercury News, The Oregonian, and other publications have published his travel articles and photographs.
