Yeah these things are pricey for glue sticks, but I'd say they're easily an order of magnitude more adhesive than that white stuff. Also, you get a lot. It was Amazon's helpful reminder that I'd purchased this exact item just over a year ago which prompted me to write a review. So a fifteen-count of foot-long sticks is a years worth of gluing anything within reach of an AC outlet, and friend, that is a LOT of things. I am continually amazed at the materials this tenacious goo is able to bond nigh-instantaneously. In fact, it's my go-to solution for things that can't be welded.
A slight caveat, it doesn't dry clear by any means. The color of the stick in the product image is, logically enough, about the color of the cooled glue. If that worries you, then by all means go purchase an inferior stick-based adhesive.

These glue sticks are an excellent adhesive. I bought them when an item that I had bonded with regular glue sticks came apart under normal usage. After cleaning and re-bonding the items they have held together not only under normal use, but under heavy stress as well. The adhesive sets very quickly, it seems to me even somewhat quicker than regular hot melt glue. As a result, just be sure that you apply it carefully and with a good quality glue gun that doesn't drip.

These ain't grandma's craft glue sticks. Amazing strength. I originally bought for some upholstery work, used a few sticks. Then my wife discovered them and used up the whole bag. Furniture, crafts, woodworking, curtains, crafts, even some clothes. Amazing.

These glue sticks are so much better than the glue sticks at the hardware or craft stores. If you're looking for light craft duty, these are way more than you need. I used these when putting in iron balusters in a new oak railing (based on an online tip) and they worked great. These are construction grade and have really changed my opinion of hot glue.

Great bonding. Also flow is excellent and low amount of "stringing". Best glue that I've used. Worth the additional cost.

High temperature hot glues can be used to bond plastics that normally can't be bonded by solvent glues. The advantage of high temperature glues is that they are more likely to soften the plastics you want to bond to and thus adhere much more strongly. I've had problems with other hot glues I've used in the past because they don't bond as well and soften too much in tropical temperatures. I make camera equipment for observing bird nests inside tree cavities using Lexan, Nylon, Poyethylene, and ABS plastic components. I can join these materials so they don't soften and disassemble in the field but using a heat gun I can take them apart for modification or repair. I love this stuff.

I have used this glue on a dozen different products and have been very impressed with the results! Glass - Stone - Wood and METAL!
