The Observer series binocular was specifically designed for Astronomy or the longest distance views on the surface of our own planet.

Available in 25-power and 20-power magnifications, these binoculars are a perfect compliment to a telescope. The huge 80mm objective lenses bring in a maximum amount of light, so your images in darkness will be clear and bright, while Steiner's fully -multicoated high resolution optics with BaK-4 prisms will make sure your images are sharp to every detail.

The Observer Astronomical binoculars come included with a tripod mount which mounts to the binoculars center pin or axel between the two barrels. Lens caps for the objective lenses are include as well as a dust, rain cover for the eyepieces. A web neck strap is also included. The binoculars are clad in attractive black rubber armor. The 25x model even includes Steiner's profiled wrap-around style eye cups which block side light and conform to the contours of your face. The eyecups fold down easily for use with eyeglasses.

I've watched these from different sources for almost a year.

Amazon had a price $70 lower than the best I'd seen. Binoculars.com couldn't even get close.

I wanted 100mm, but only China had them at a price I could afford. Steiner is German and has a 10 year warranty. I'm steady handed and can enjoy these hand held. A tripod is best and at 5 pounds, most can handle these. I can't say enough about the quality, weight, etc. The auto focus is limited to longer distances but you can't have everything.
