The Curse of the Bambino has haunted the Boston Red Sox for 86 years. It was in 1920 that Red Sox owner Harry Frazee sold Babe Ruth's contract to the New York Yankees. Since then the Yankees went on to win 26 Championships while the Red Sox have appeared in only four World Series since 1918, losing each game in seven. On Wednesday night October 27th 2004, the 86 year Curse of the Bambino was finally reversed. The Boston Red Sox celebrated in St. Louis as they swept the Cardinals 4 games to 0.
