This review is from: Steinway: From Glory to Controversy: The Piano, the Family, the Business (Paperback)
The title of this book, "From Glory to Controversy" led me to approach it with some caution, but it's actually a well-balanced overview of the family and its pianos. It's a little on the short side (222 pages, in rather large print) and the few photos are of poor quality. If you're interested in Steinway pianos, get "Steinway and Sons" by Richard K Lieberman (1995). But this one makes a good supplement. |
