This 2005 release by Fuel 2000 is of a 1972 Japanese release for the Teichiku label. Using a Steinway piano, Waldron performs four original compositions solo, the standout being "For Erik Satie." Typical of the majority of Waldron's body of work, the pianist offers interesting transitions with flawless attention to detail. Waldron is easily one of my more favorite pianists. For me, this album is essential. (Recommended)
