That's the whole idea behind the TirrenoT: an ergonomic approach to the top of the bar. The TirrenoT offers a better hold, thanks to its wide, super-comfortable palmate shape, which features finger beds to keep your hands from moving. This, of course, means a more consistent body position while climbing, which results in greater pedaling efficiency. What's more, they look pretty doggone cool. Ergonomic heaven,these are a little different from your usual handlebars and in a different price range but worth every cent.Will never go back to standard tubing.Cannot say enough

Best bars I've tried. Great aid for hand placement- has thumb grooves built in for cruising and finger grips on leading edge for climbing. I suggest only taping the drops. You don't need tape in the middle with these features. Weight is a little heavier than standard bars, but worth it. I am about to order my second for another bike.
