I got interested in this topic as a layman from the product which the author has created and is marketing. The book is simple and clear on a topic which is poorly known to the general public and also not too well to the non-specialists in the medical field. It is well illustrated and has 62 references in the back. So this feature gives credibility to the text. A glossary of the main scientific terms is very useful and can be found at the end of the book.
Although the book is addressed to the general public, it helps the reader to have some knowledge of science before reading it. Overall this is more like review paper than a book since it is only 39 pages long. Personally I enjoyed reading it and learnt from it.

This is an excellent discussion of the role of human bone marrow derived stem cells. The book also discussed their role in maintaining good general health as well as repair of damaged tissues and organs. It discussed how such stem cells are capable of becoming many other types of cells in various organs and tissues. It is a must read for those interested in the enbryonic vs boned marrow drevived stem cells controversary.

The paperbook is more of a thesis size paper; however, the information is well organized, accurate and perfect for understanding Stem Cell embryonic and adult cell differences.
Very pleased. My brother in law who has no interest in Cellular Therapy or regenetive therapy found the book helpful to understand the rather interesting political debates. The book does not focus on politics in any way. It is straight forward science. This is a book that all should read to be INFORMED on the true use of stem cell and the incredible opportunity stem cell has for disease processes. There is no hysteria in this book. You can hopefully make intelligent decisions using the factual information presented to support stem cell therapy. |
