I have two daughters, ages 2 and 4 and they love playing house, having tea party's with the table and two seats included in the cottage, and talking on the phone (also included). Love how this playhouse has a floor. Easy to assemble (recommend an electric drill). You definitely can't beat the price. It is smaller than the other playhouses and would be difficult for an adult to sit in there. But the large windows make peaking in a breeze.

This house has all the features of the more expensive houses, for a better price. It was easy to put together (although the faucet doesn't connect to the sink as well as I'd like it to). The floor is wonderful, and after it rains or we hose it down, it drains very well-the only place any water collects is the sink and one of the seats. Don't leave the cordless phone in the house if it's outside though, ours got waterlogged and wouldn't stop ringing, I had to pull the batteries out and let it dry out again. The house isn't too big, no more than 2 kids can play very comfortably, but that wasn't a big deal for us. My son has been playing in it since he could cruise around, loves opening the door and shutters.

We bought this house for our son's first birthday and he's having a blast exploring every inch of it. He loves to "talk" on the phone, open and close the shutters, and press the button on the faucet. It's keeping him very busy, and because it has a floor we've decided to keep it inside for now. That square patch of carpet won't get worn out from him constantly walking around in it.

The house was easy to put together. My husband had it set up in less than 30 minutes. As for the quality, I'd say it's excellent. I don't think a house like this was meant for big kids to play in, so it probably wouldn't hold up if your child is too old or heavy for their age. But it should be just fine for the average sized 1-4 year old, even a smaller 5 year old. Overall we're very happy with this purchase.

Our 18 month old daughter, Madilyn, absolutley adores her new house (BIG THANKS to Lolo and Lola who sent the $$$). My husband, his friend, and I put the house together in 30 minutes. We put it out in the backyard. It doesn't take up that much room at all (So if you have a small yard, this is perfect). She loves ringing the doorbell and going in and out (and in and out again). She likes to open and close the shutters to play peek-a-boo. She also loves the cordless phone that came with it...it looks like our real phone. She says, "Hel-lo" and hands it to me. The floor is very sturdy (I crawled in and sat in there with her). We live in an area that has A LOT of pollen. Yesterday we noticed that there was a layer of it on the floor. We just took the water hose and hosed it down. The drainage holes work great! She couldn't wait until it dried, so needless to say she came out with wet shorts. She fits perfect on the molded-in seats. If you have a larger toddler, it may pose a problem. There may not be enough space between your child and the table. She also loves to stick things through the mailbox. All-in-all this is an AWESOME buy. It keeps our daughter entertained for hours. We also bought the Step2 Water and Sand Table and the Step2 Big Folding Slide. Between all that, her two ride-on toys, and her sandbox, the backyard looks like a fun park! P.S. Be sure to have someone push against the table while you screw it in...the screw might not go in at all.

My daughter got this when she was three yrs old. She's 5 and half now and still has a ball playing in it with her girlfriends. They play house and sit at the table and eat lunch or play with Play Doh and just generally have a great time with it. We've had it over 2 yrs and it's holding up beautifully. We love the fact that we can see in and watch what the kids are doing and that it has a floor. I'd buy one again if I ever had a need for another playhouse.

My husband and I just got this playhouse for our 2 1/2 year old daughter, we priced around for a long time and finally decided on this one because it had the floor, and it was the best priced playhouse we had seen. We are still impressed! Our daughter loves it and it was fairly easy to put together. I think that it is also great that there is only one thing that requires batteries, and that is the phone, which even when it runs out of juice will still be functional. (this was another big deciding factor)! I am VERY impressed with Step 2 in general as a toy maker!

Nice little house for a little one.My daughter 18 months loves it.So does my 6 year old.They play house togther!It's so cute!Easy to put togther.Took about 30 minutes.I have mine outside on my porch.It is worth the money.The cheapest one i could find.I like the fact that it has a floor also.Also seats to sit!I would buy it again if i had to :).

Even though my 3 1/2 year old daughter does not play with this house everyday, I still think I made the right choice in buying it. The house has held up great over the past year. It was outside all winter in the snow, then I brought it inside for her birthday in Feb, then back out it went. Some of her party guests actually ate their cake in the house.

One thing I like about this house that many don't have is a FLOOR. It keeps it much cleaner inside. And it has all the things my daughter wanted: table, chairs, sink, stove, doorbell, door. They are all small and close together, but she never questioned it and just love playing pretend. We are moving soon, so I think the house will get more use once we have a bigger back yard. Right now it basically sits in a pile of dirt.

Still plenty big enough for my 3 1/2 year old, even though it looks smaller than other houses.


SIX YEARS LATER...
This house has moved twice with us. It is now sitting in its third backyard and it still looks as good as new. It must be a great seller because they are still making it. If I were you I would try to pick one up second hand. My oldest is now almost 9 years old, but my 1 and 3 year old love this toy. Definitely money well spent!!!

I ordered this playhouse for my boys, age 2 and 3. They enjoy playing at their preschools playground that has a couple of playhouses. We have it outside and they always play in it when we go out. When I first ordered it, I was missing some parts but then the mgf sent me replacement within 5 days. It was hard to put together without an electric drill. Since the holes were not premade for you to screw it in. But the house is sturdy enough for two boys to play in it.

We purchased the cottage for my daughter's first birthday and she loved it! While her uncle was assembling it she sat on the chair and played with the phone. She's now 17 months and plays in it until she has to come in the house. Its very durable, safe and just the right size for her. She and my 5 year old nice play for hours inside together. I would recommend this item.
