5.0 out of 5 stars Please Release!, June 1, 2005
This review is from: Step by Step (DVD)
This show definitely needs a Series DVD Set, if all the crappy sitcoms that get made now can make it to DVD, why can't a very fun show like Step by Step make it?

5.0 out of 5 stars a very good family show, May 30, 2005

Step by Step is a very good show. During the last two seasons of Step by Step Rich Halke and Dana Foster were in love and they were dating. I thought they made a cute couple. Season Five when Lilly was a baby she was so cute and I liked seeing her as a baby before she was walking. I also liked Lilly when they showed her as a 5 and 6 year old. I really liked it when JT met Samantha and started dating her. I thought that they made a cute couple. I liked just about every episode of Step by Step. I did not like the episode when Frank dreamed of the Wild West. There were a lot of Step by Step episodes that I liked such as the episode during the first season when Carole makes all these house rules at a family meeting, the episode when JT and Rich were evicted by Frank, the episode when JT moves out of the house and moves in with Jean Luc, the pilot episode, the Hawaii episodes, the Christmas and Halloween episodes. I would buy all seasons of Step by Step on DVD. I watch Step by Step Monday-Friday on ABC Family but I would like to own it on DVD. I typed in my email address at amazon.com so they could email me when I can order step by step on dvd. All you other Step by Step fans should do the same, that way the company knows that their are a lot of people interested in having step by step on dvd and the dvd will be released.

5.0 out of 5 stars PLEASE HURRY UP & RELEASE THIS TV SERIES!!!!, January 14, 2007
This review is from: Step by Step (DVD)
I have to agree with most of the reviewers of this series...If the television companies can release the dumb reality shows on DVD sets, why NOT release a good, wholesome, funny and GREAT show like this one? This show focuses on what real families go through in there everyday real life situations...I really do wish these television and movie companies would wake up and realize that the t.v. series and movies they are releasing on DVD's maybe alright for some, but what about the rest of us who grew up durning the 90's who want to share with our child or children these kind of "wholesome" real life shows depicting real situations to show them that this is how "real" families deal with everyday issues? We as parents can talk to our children and try our best to teach them right from wrong, to be honest, caring and compassionate to others, especially to your own family and how to deal with everyday problems and situations "WITHOUT USING VIOLENCE" to resolve any kind of differences..A show like this one really hits home on these points...Instead, these movie and t.v. companies are producing unrealistic and uncaring reality shows for supposely entertainment, when in reality they are just confussing our children even more about everyday life and how cruel people can be to one another...Don't get me wrong, I completely understand and absolutely agree it is our job and reasonability as parents to teach our children the difference between what is real and what is not, monitor what they watch on t.v. and the movies that are beig released, however, if these companies would produce more t.v. shows like this one and re-releasing some of the other ones like "BOY MEETS WORLD" for them to watch that focuses on the way true life really is, I think things in this world would be a little easier on our children in society...Of course this is just my opinion and it may or may not matter much to a lot of people, however, I just wanted to express it and say to the t.v. and movie companies, PLEASE RE-RELEASE THIS SHOW FOR US TRUE DIE HARD FANS WHO REALLY WANT TO SHARE THIS SHOW AND OTHERS LIKE IT SO WE CAN WATCH THEM WITH OUR OWN CHILD OR CHILDREN VERY-VERY SOON:0)

This review is from: Step by Step (DVD)
In my opinion, this show is one of the best shows..escpecially compared to the current sitcoms now showing. I really hope this show comes out on DVD, since abc family moved step by step from 2-3p.m. pacific to 11:30p.m. pacific and not available for most viewers now. So all I have to say is PLEASE COME OUT ON DVD SOON!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Funny Show, July 6, 2005

They should've kept this show going. I can't wait until they come out with the season DVD. They need to keep these type of shows on, yet make more. My boys & I crack up every day when we watch this on the Family Channel. These are not only funny entertainment but lessons learned. We also enjoy Fresh Prince, Family Matters, Full House & Growing Pains. I'll be buying all these season sets when readily available. Much better than the shows they have on now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Fun Show, June 18, 2005
This review is from: Step by Step (DVD)
This is without a doubt the show that epitomizes what the TGIF programming block on ABC was all about: good fun with attractive people. It was everything a kid at the time would want to see, and the first season is good because it focuses most on the original point of the show, which is the two families trying to get along. Basically it's like the Brady Bunch, except the families hate each other. Construction worker Frank Lambert (Patrick Duffy) marries beautician Carol Foster (Suzanne Sommers). Lambert has 3 kids JT (Brandon Call), Al (Christine Lahkin) and Brendan (Josh Byrne). Carol has Dana (Staci Keanan), Karen (Angela Watson) and Mark(Christopher Castille.) Also there is Frank's nephew, the Bill and Tedish Cody Lambert(Sasha Mitchell), as well as Carols mother (Peggy Rea) and sister(Patrika Darbo). It's the beginning of 7 seasons of reliving your childhood if you're from my generation, and I think that that is the best way to sell it for sure. Hope it comes out, buy, and enjoy.

This review is from: Step by Step (DVD)
This is the best show ever. I grew up watching this show and I think that it is much better than the shows that they air now. I think they need to release this on DVD because watching the reruns is just not the same.

5.0 out of 5 stars This show is incredible, October 10, 2005

This show was and still is awesome. There is so much junk out there on television in recent years, including rediculous reality shows that don't portray reality in the slightest way. This show was just funny and portrayed what the average middle-class family was like for alot of people in the 1990's. I'm twenty-two now, and remember when this show aired prime time on TGIF in 1991. It's characters are developed very well and it truly deserves it's own DVD set for the seven or eight seasons it was on the air. Patrick Duffy and Susanne Sommers do an excellent job at portraying their characters as well as the step children. It really gives you a sense of how life was growing up in the 90's, when times were good. The production company better get on its horse!
