Great Information, not so great method,

The book's attention to a begginer's confusion about music in general is fantastic, as it takes you through general theory and practice with run of the mill vocabulary. The problem is, this babysitting gets in the way after the first 2 chapters, since long sentences prevail in order to explain things short terms could explain as well. Also, the CD leaves a lot to be desired-
