Editorial Reviews

One Step Over The Line is a promo CD with interview and live songs. This is a very rare US release only CD. Grounded by Shriekback rhythm section Dave Allen on bass and Martyn Barker on drums, this quintet made a hell of a noise as the 1980s drew to a close. Walter Wray supplied rock star vocals. Alternative rock, no matter how far out there it is, is still based on and grounded in rock and roll. And occasionally, no matter how alternative you are, you need to get back in touch with what started this whole thing. That's both what King Swamp did, and what King Swamp does. CONTENTS: 1) King Swamp Interview 2) Man Behind the Gun 3) Motherlode 4) Widders Dump 5) Glow

5.0 out of 5 stars King Swamp radio promo that has live tracks......, February 16, 2008

This review is from: One Step Over The Line (Audio CD)
This promotional CD has the only known released live tracks by the band. Fortunately, I have been able to uncover their live recordings and am able to hear a show from circa 1989/1990 containing Blown Away, Big Elgar, Glow, Is This Love, Man Behind The Gun, Motherlode, One Step Over The Line, Original Man, Widder's Dump, Year Zero.....but I digress.......

The interview section of this CD gives some insight into how the band formed and what they intended to do. The live tracks are very cool to have as well. King Swamp lives on through the release of Walter Wray and his solo album and there is hope of more Swamp-like music to come forth as Walter is playing in the London area again as of 2007.

This is a must for any Swamp fan......
