5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Manual
I have a problem with myself. It's that I want everything to work. Over the years, I've fixed just about every appliance that is out there. I've also bought most of the better repair manuals: the Reader's Digest series, the Cheap and Easy series, and some recommended by Popular Science. The GE Step-by-Step books though are the best because they show you a picture of...

3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know
I was looking for in-depth information for fixing the icemaker in my GE refrigerator - and this did not contain it. This manual ended up being of no use to me at all, there was not anything in it that I really didn't know how to do already. I have a problem with myself. It's that I want everything to work. Over the years, I've fixed just about every appliance that is out there. I've also bought most of the better repair manuals: the Reader's Digest series, the Cheap and Easy series, and some recommended by Popular Science. The GE Step-by-Step books though are the best because they show you a picture of each step, and many times several pictures for one step. Even 10-20 years after they have been published, the information is as relevant today as it was back then. If you're a DIY type of person, this book is for you.

If you have no experience fixing things, or don't know much about refrigerators, this book is for you. If you have some experience with repairing things and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty working on things, you're probably already past the level of this book.
