It starts with a chapter on tools and supplies. The next chapters are on plain stringing and restringing; knotting between beads; finishing with French wire, and stringing on chain. All are clear and well illustrated. For that alone it should be well recommended. What makes it even more valuable is the appendix. It contains a listing of standard terminology, the accepted lengths of matinee, opera, rope and lariat. It has a table of calculations showing the number of beads of various millimeter sizes needed for necklaces of several lengths. It includes a formula, handy to use for calculating the number of beads needed for any size necklace.
