The Step 'N Tilt Lawn Aerator is very effective at alleviating soil compaction problems. It's patent pending design makes core aeration easy and enjoyable for do-it-yourselfers (DIYs) and professional landscapers. Simply step on the platform to insert aerator tines into the ground and tilt the handle bar back to remove the tines from the ground - it's that effortless and easy!
The Step 'N Tilt Lawn Aerator is a true core aerator, not a spike aerator. Its aerator tines are hardened for extra durability. Core aeration is a proven lawn aeration method and the only one recommended by lawn experts and university extension services worldwide. Its highly engineered hollow core aerator tines are very effective at extracting soil cores while creating 3.75" deep, 0.75" diameter holes in the ground. The replaceable and recyclable carbon steel aerator tines are case-hardened for extra durability. We ship using USPS Priority Mail from Andover, Kansas, USA. Some assembly is required.

I have used this aerator on my clay soil lawn, to include three other neighbor lawns. Like all aerators an aerator will clog so you just carry a long small flat head screw driver in your back pocket. Lay the aerator down, push the soil out and wash out with the hose for good measure. Like all aerators don't try to aerate mushy soil as the plugs won't push through and don't aerate hard dry soil as the soil can dull the aerator. Those expectations aside this is a really good product as you don't have to rent an aerator then rush to get it back to the rental center. You can do a little today, a little tomorrow and not wear yourself out. You can even do it multiple times a year which doesn't hurt a bit, only helps.
The whole thing comes in a 5inch by 2foot box so you have to spend 15 minutes assembling it. The instructions are helpful and all parts are in the box no problem.
The base plate bead weld broke. The company shipped a replacement plate the same day free of charge, warrantied for life.
I spent $71.95 on the aerator with the container. The clips broke but the container can be used without the clips. I highly recommend the container as it makes it easier to deal with the plugs, especially if the soil is moist. The company sent me new clips with the baseplate but I don't see myself using the clips as they are really not necessary.
I am very happy with this tool, the service and results.

This is a great product for a small area of lawn. It will be back breaking on a large plot. But if you have the time..lots of time then go for it. It does work very well.

Got mine today. This baby really works!!!
My wife and I was fighting over using it once I put it together. Step 'N Tilt is so easy to use and can't believe that it is so fast too. Highly recommended for EVERYONE!!!

More Than a Lawn Aerator!
I would definitely recommend this Step `N Tilt core aerator to anyone. I have about 1500 square feet total, and it took about 40 minutes to aerate the entire yard. Read more
